Love is patient and kind, it is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs; love is not happy with evil but with the truth. Love never gives up, and its faith, hope, and patience never fail. Meanwhile these three remain: faith, hope and love, and the greatest of these is love.

I remember ‘Girls Just Want to Have Fun’. It starred Sarah Jessica Parker and Helen Hunt. This is what I remember of it: Sarah Jessica Parker’s character wants to join a dance contest but her strict father forbids her to dance so she has to rehearse in secret. And I think she gets assigned a guy for her dance partner and they don’t get along. I liked it. It’s pretty much just a fun eighties movie - similar to a movie like Footloose.
I haven't seen American Graffiti.

Wow, Cokies! THREE movies starring Corey Feldman!!?? I loved Corey when he was a wee guy - definetely the best child-actor of the time. Stand By Me was his best movie though.
F.Y.I. - I heard that the Goonies DVD is due out in the States in August. We probably won't get it here in Scotland for another few months after that though. You'll need to tell me if the extra features on it are any good before I buy it.

Yeah, I guess I'm a Corey Feldmen fan, only by default though. He just happens to be in many of my favorites. I think he's hilarious, especially in The Goonies, as Mouth. He was also very good in Stand By Me, which showed a sort of a dramatic side in his acting. The Lost Boys is just one of those odd ones he's in. Sort of like "The Burbs", he's in that one, and I LOVE that movie too!
I'm sure The Goonies DVD will be an excellent buy. Besides the regular version, there will be the version with the cut scenes ( The Quickie Mart scene, the Giant Octupus scene, etc...). And there will be commentary by the director Richard Donner, and commentary by all seven kids. Oh, and the original trailer, with Cyndi Lauper's "Gooonies 'R' Good Enough" music video will be on the disc too.
I know there will be other features included, by I can't remember right now.
I'm glad you like my signature. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

Oh, wow - I am soooo looking forward to getting that DVD now!! My copy of The Goonies is practically falling to bits. I taped it off the TV years ago and the picture and sound is real fuzzy.
I'm looking forward to hearing the commentary by the kids. Do you have the Stand By Me DVD? I liked the extra interveiw with the cast members (apart from River, obviously) as they are now - it was wierd seeing them all grown up http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

Yeah, my copy is falling apart too. I taped it off Disney ten years ago, or somewhere around there.
And no, I don't have the Stand By Me DVD, I didn't even know if they put one out yet. But now, since you told me, I'll have to go pick up a copy.
