Oh man, I can't think of the name of it, but it was that one where the four black ladies were having man trouble or something. Angela Bassett and I think Whitney Houston were in it. Just did not like that movie.

Sorry, Joanna Marie, but "Armageddon" came out AFTER "Deep Impact". So it was no ripoff, I 'd say it was the other way around.
Plus, they weren't really ripoffs off each other, since "Deep Impact" had a comet, while "Armageddon" had an asteroid. Sorry to get picky... http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif

I agree with you on this(The Blair Witch).....the most over-rated,super-hyped, over-publicized,under acted,no story line film of the century, the milllenium and perhaps of all time. The only thing it had going for it was it was low budget.

I can't remember who posted what but some of the comments I read made me want to say the following points -
'Deliverance' doesn't suck - infact, it's widely regarded as a classic.
I actually found 'Blair Witch' to be a very refreshing addition to the horror genre. Instead of the usual 'blood 'n' guts' approach it preyed on the universal fear of the unseen to make it's impact. It wasn't scream-out-loud scary but it was definately unsettling.
While I fully expected 'Scary Movie' to totally suck, I was pleasantly surprised after watching it. I actually found it rather amusing. 'Shriek If You Know What I did Last Friday 13th' is almost identical to 'Scary Movie' but I found it pretty entertaining too. I don't normally find that sort of humour appealing.
'The Goonies' is an amazing movie about the sacredness (I'm not even sure if that's a real word) of childhood. It doesn't reach the poetic realness of 'Stand By Me', but it's still brillaint.
I haven't seen 'Howard the Duck' in YEARS so I can't even remember if it was actually as bad as everyone says. I'd actually quite like to see it again.

I take Blair Witch back
last year there were THREE movies that were worse than Blair Witch
Next Best Thing (Will And Grace meets Kramer Vs. Kramer. Starring Benjamin Bratt's briefs and Madonna's British accent)
Battlefield Earth (a terrible sci-fi flick, but one of the greatest comedies ever. This is up there with Blazing Saddles in terms of comedic value. Destined to be a cult classic. Who didn't laugh at Travolta in this?)
Blair Witch 2:Book Of Shadows (pt. 1 was boring, but pt. 2 made the first one look like an Oscar worthy great flick. The acting was putrid, the storyline was so far-fetched the director decided that when you get the DVD, you have to watch it BACKWARDS to find out a plot. And plus, nobody in the movie stood out as so unbelievably annoying or overacted as well as Heather Donahue did)

Ok, I'll ask you cos I'm hoping SOMEONE out there can help me - WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT MOVIE ABOUT??!!! It didn't make any sense to me at all! I rented it the other night and I was still awake at 4am trying to figure it out! I couldn't even find all the so-called 'clues' that were supposed to be there either -
I saw changing words on the grave stone.
I saw the word 'OR' on the rug.
I think I saw writing on one of the doors but I couldn't tell what it said.
I saw the word 'NO' written on a window.
What other clues did I miss? Can someone just tell me what the movie was about cos it made no sense to me - even with the stupid 'Esrever' feature at the end of the DVD!

Nancy McKeon is #1!!I thought so too, and I knew that the sequels were always worst as usual. And something else I wanna know about horror movies is that they always have bad acting, plot looks like it feels a same, since people scream and run away from those creatures and sometimes to be fallen. The only thing I can handle is manga and anime horror theme. That's the only reason I can handle that kind of horror theme. :)

Whatever It Takes - Dat film was garbage. A whack @ film with a whack @ cast. Me & my homie Rad D thought da girls in dat film were ugly @ #()'$, and West & Franco were wimps. Dat's why da main cast members in dat ain't & never will get as big. And whoever thought dis movie helped launched careers is dead @ wrong. Shane @ is on E.R., James is still doing some whack @ movies like "Flyboyz", Marla is on some new whack @ show on ABC called "Big Day", and Jodi Lyn hasn't had a movie or television show since what, 2003. So that's where tha MFers from Whatever It Takes are at now, nowhere.
Angel "Freakin'" Heart - Anutha whack @ film with a whack @ **+*# in it. Me & my homie went to da premiere back in tha day. We've seen a little bit of it, and then we got da hell up outta dodge in no time. Dat film was Robert De Niro & Mickey Rourke's worst movie of all-time. Da only reason why dis movie gets alot of respect because Lisa's in it.
My predictions on the future of tha WIT cast:
E.R. fires Shane West's @.
Camille tanks at da box-office.
ABC busts a cap in Big Day's @ for low ratings.
Jodi O'Keefe gives up acting.

The Dukes of Hazzard made me mad. So many things wrong:
1) Jessica Simpson's hair is blonde. Daisy's was brown.
2) Bo didn't have a beard in the TV show. SWS needed to shave.
3) They didn't add enough stuffing to Burt Rynolds' Boss Hogg.
4) The trashy sex jokes. They didn't do that in the TV show.
5) Bo talking on his cell phone to Uncle Jesse or Boss Hogg, I forget. They didn't have cell phones in the '70s.
I didn't expect it to be *exactly* like the TV show, but they could have at least tried to make some of the things the same.
