I looked up on realdisney.com that according to the Animation Guild Blog, Steve Hullet says "The new logo is a cousin of what went before: sky and clouds and a nighttime landscape then castle and fireworks and shimmering water and… You’ll see the the new stuff on or about July 9 when the “Pirates of the Caribbean” comes out. Worth seeing, I think.”
As you might see on my avatar, the original 21-year-old Walt Disney Pictures logo is going to retire very soon. They're going to re-animate the famous Walt Disney Pictures logo, but you might see it if "Pirates of the Caribbean 2" comes out on July 9th.
