The one where he's gonna sponsor JJ, Sweet Daddy says to James,
"What's with the ATTITUDE?" I just thought that was hilarious the way he said attitude, you could tell it was hard for John Amos to keep a straight face. I don't know how any of them could keep a straight face during that episode!! I love when the thugs bring the new fridge and they say, "Sweet Daddy doesn't want anyone having to drink warm beer" LOL

Teddy Wilson aka Sweet Daddy Williams, was my favorite 70's sitcom actor. I think he was funny in everything he did.

Was Sweet Daddy a recurring character? I saw the episode where he has JJ paint a portrait of his girlfriend. She was one nasty biatch, lol.

Yes he was a recurring character. Actually the actor who played Sweet Daddy made a guest apperance in season 4 as another character. He was a Nightclub Owner in season 4. The Sweet Daddy character appeared once in season 3, and twice in season 6

I just looked up Teddy Wilson's bio on imdb. The poor guy died of AIDS in 1991. He made appearances on Sanford and Son, What's Happening, The Jeffersons, AITF and a lot of other tv shows. I don't know whether this is news to anyone or not.

I don't remember him on Sanford and Son or All in the Family, I have to check that

Yea I heard about that. I know he guest starred on Dallas around 1990. He looked real old. That might have been the last show he guest starred on.

I haven't seen TMM in years, but there is no doubt that he was great in both Good Times and What's Happening.
