My school didn't really have a nickname as such. Since it's a Scottish school we never had a team or any mascots or anything like that.
I went to Hermitage Academy in Helensburgh. Most people just shorten the name and call it 'the Hermie'. The kids who go there just call it 'the sh!thole'!

My school calles itself the "Lords", but every other school just calles us stuck-up jackasses with attitude problems. lol, I agree with other schools. I hate my school, for some reason everyone in my school (including staff members) thinks they are better than anyone elts. A problem of ours is that my school is all about sports, if you are on a sports team or if you are good at sports you tend to get really good grades, but if you are like me and couldn't really give a damn about sports and are no good at 'em, you tend to do bad. Sports are more important that academics here. Also, we just copied our name from the high school down the street that was around before us. They have called themselves the "Lords" since the 40's and we didn't come into existance until the late 50's. It's sad, but true...

Oh yeah, I forgot. We don't have a mascot either. People here just say it's too "un-cool" or "queer". And again, aswell. We don't use semesters, we use terms. We have a Day1 and a Day2. Day1 has 4 classes, and Day2 has the other 4. It's really hard to keep organised and worry about all 4 classes at once. There are 3 terms (like elementary) and our school is the only one around that uses this system, and alot of people are leaving because they can't handle it. I know I am leaving at the end of the year.
