I am totally blown away by this forum. Just discovered it today. It is gonna take me just a few days to get through all the posts for my fav Patty Duke and then another couple of months just going through the 1960's again and reliving it all!
Totally awesome! I am sure I am gonna learn a lot of what has happened to the cast and life in general here.
I wanted to post this thread, because I am afraid I am gonna be too busy reading posts and will have no time.

A few months ago I sent MGM an e-mail stating that they should release "The Patty Duke Show" on DVD!
I think it might help if some of you Patty Duke fans request the same.
Thanks! for your cooperation.

...be sure to send it to SONY PICTURES HOME ENTERTAINMENT- they acquired MGM/UA earlier this year, and control all of their movie and TV properties, including DVD releases!

I recently aquired most of The Patty Duke Show episodes on DVD, including the reunion movie, Still Rockin' In Brooklyn Heights.
If anyone is interested in making a trade, please message me.

Yep, Patty was pretty back in the day. So cute & perky. Ideal 60's girl.
The show was popular thruout it's three season run. It would have been renewed for a fourth season, but it would have had to switch to color episodes and it was decided the series would have been too expensive to film in color so the show was dropped. A poor excuse to cancel a series, but supposedly that's what happened.
The Patty Duke Show is currently airing Saturday nights on WWME-TV Chicago. Check it out if you can. Great old show!

Hi Lee G! I take it you're in Chicagoland? Isn't it great that ME-TV is showing this again? I thought I had dreamed it all up or something until I tuned in last Saturday! Even better, they're showing the episodes with scenes that were deleted when Nick-At-Nite was showing it. I think we're incredibly fortunate here- we're getting The Flying Nun, Gidget AND The Patty Duke Show!
Patty Duke was really good in this show, despite her modest views of her work in the dual role. I honestly think nobody did a better job at playing two roles so completely opposite than Patty. I'm sure some will take exception, but hey, I will always feel Patty is tops at playing two characters so believeably- especially during the first two seasons.

Yes, ME-TV is a great station. I especially like their Saturday Night and Sunday Night programming. And they also throw in an old commercial now and then, which is cool to see.

I wish we had ME-TV in Lousyville. Seems all of our local or local cable stations just show infomercials day and night
I haven't seen PD since she was on N@N which was a long long time ago.
