Is Yesterday Cafe the one where they do that silly 50s retro commercial that featured Scott and Willie dressed as bannanas? And Josie is the lead who said her lines, trying to keep a straight face and saying her lines like she couldn't believe the crap she was saying.

no, the episode you're thinking of is #85-Second Banana. Yesterday Cafe is the one where Lillian first buys the restaurant and Charles uses the menus and tables to teach history to two students he's tutoring. I think someone dresses up as Elvis at the end of the episode but I can't remember who.

no problem. :) I've watching every episode of CiC so many times, I think I can memorize the script of some of them. LOL.

anyway, my alltime favorite episode (I can't believe no one's mentioned it) is "Charles R Us". The kids were so funny acting out those scenarios that Charles baked up to "test" his potential "Charles'". I especially love the end when Jason is accused of taking the $19 and Charles tells everyone that you can't accuse someone without proof and then turns to Jason and says "hand it over theif". And Jason's reaction is perfect "I'm shocked and dismayed at this.....shocking dismayance." I think Michael Pearlman's line delivery in that episode was perfect.

I can't really think of a least favorite episode cause each of them made me laugh. what can I say?? I'm easy. :lol:

Meet Grandpa - Jason and Charles are soooo cute together in this. Especially at the end when they say good-bye. Who doesn't just go aaaaaaaawwwww!!! when they see it?
Discipline - It helped me write my high school valedictorian speech.

Many others I like in their own way...

Least Favorite:
Accidental Puppy - I found this episode kind of boring. It's all in the house about a puppy

Another Saturdsy Night - Another boring one...all in the house again, fighting over Gwendolyn and Buddy.

I used to hate the one called "The Commotion" until I saw the non-syndicated version. It's really cute when Charles picks up Jason asks him "Do you love me" and that whole little dialogue that follows. It's really cute. I don't know why they took that part out of syndication.

One question...does anyone know which episode this is...it's the scene in the Opening Credits where Jason is talking to Charles while Charles is combing his hair, it looks like it could be the pilot, but it's not.

It is from the pilot.....possibly you have to get the extended version of CIC. Heh:lol:, that would have been cool! I wonder what it would have been like to see this back in '84. I was only a year old back then, but traveling back through time and seeing when you are part of the audience...anything is possible.:) You probably get to see the whole 30 minutes of Charles In Charge as part of the audience. Heh, that would have been cool.

Actually, when you watch the opening credits you will notice that quite a few of the clips shown are not from any actual episodes. The scene in the credits where Charles and Jason are in the bathroom and Charles is combing his hair looks like it was filmed at the sametime as the pilot but isn't part of the pilot. I think it was meant to be though.

I have the 1984 novelization of the pilot by Elizabeth Faucher, which would of been based on the actual shooting script and not the finished episodes (so it may include things that were changed during the actual of filming the episode) and there IS a scene between Charles and Jason in the bathroom where Charles is getting ready for his date. So, I am guessing that this scene was filmed for the pilot, but then was edited out. DVDs include all the scenes that are edited out for syndication, but don't generally contain scenes that were cut out in the editing room during the production of the episode.

This is one of my personal favorite episodes from the Powell years and this one has to do with a dream sequence when Charles wakes up in his dreams and the Powells' answers became true. Walter was a pirate. Mrs. Powell was a prositute. Sarah was a Southern Belle. Adam was a punk rocker. Jamie was a Cinderella girl who wants Charles help to make her not a made and do your fairygodfather wishes. I especially loved the part where Scott Baio was as Vito and said to Jamie, "He refused!"

Okay, this might not be one of the people's favorite episode, but this one always gets to me everytime!

One least favorite episode is the one with the blind girl that Charles falls in loves with and I thought it was a little pointless. It could have been something, but it so saccharine.

I noticed that, too! Also the part during the credits where Jason is sitting on the bed grinning at someone isn't in any episodes. The part were Douglas was working with his chemicals during the opening credits doesn't seem to appear in any of the episodes, either.
