I did. And when I seen the episode abt DJ being in the spelling bee, they mentioned his name as DAVID JACOB. During it's first run when this episode aired, I was like "What???" I assumed DJ stood for Dan Jr.

I did too if you want to know the truth.

I was surprised when I heard (only recently) that it was David Jacob.

Glad to know. I had seen the episode last night and it made me wonder how many others thought his real name was Dan Jr. So, that's why I decided to post it here.

I didn't I believe it was in the first or second episode, and Darlene say's "David Jacob I'm going to get you"

I actually never wondered what it stood for... just never thought about it lol. Good to learn something new though.

Also, notice that there are now two David's in the Conner house...D.J. and Darlene's boyfriend/Mark's brother David. This show has a fascination with the name David I guess.

Thats a good point. So I wonder why they changed Darlene's b/f from Kevin to David, when there was already a David Jacob in the house. It's not like there wasnt another name out there that would have suited him just as well.

Nope. It was revealed before David ever moved in.

It was revealed as David Jacob in Season 1, Toto We're not in Kansas anymore. On the dvd, Roseanne says that this is the only episode where they say it, but it was edited out of the DVDs, and they say it on a few other occasions. Lol.
