First off, it was weird seeing the show back on the air. It was almost like I missed out on a couple of seasons. Because of that, it took me a little time to get reacquainted with all the characters.
Tony lies in a pool of blood?! Wow, definitely something I wasn't expecting. Great first episode, it seemed to flow very nicely.

Same here Brian. I felt like I needed a chart to remind myself of who's who. It was great to see the old faces...Tony's crew and family. I think they spent too much time on the guy who killed himself. I don't remember him from before, and it seems like they introduced him only to kill him off.
I need to feel invested more in a character if I'm going to care if he's dead.
Janice with a baby. Too funny. She packed some serious weight on.
Tony getting shot was a shocker. Looks like Uncle Junior has finally flipped his lid. I noticed they didn't show any previews for next week. As if we'll think he died, lol.

Am I a bad person for thinking the F.B.I are the villains in this show? lol I find myself rooting for the mafia to find out about what the Feds are up to.
As for that character that killed himself, I've seen him before. If you can remember to two years ago in the last season before this one, he was the guy who smashed a glass bottle over another goumba's head when they got into an argument at the construction site. Finn (Meadow's fiancee) witnessed this and was afraid to go back to work at the construction site.

Yea, that was Eugene Pontecorvo, the guy that got made at the same exact time as Christopher did in the basement in season 3 and he did beat up Paulie Germanie with the bottle at the Esplanade in season 5. I still can't believe he killed himself, I remember him from back in season 3 when he just got made then in 5 he seemed like he was doing alright.

You've got to understand why he commited suicide. His son was on drugs, he was pinched by the Feds and he wasn't able to escape the mafia.

I find myself doing the same thing, lol. Then I ask myself what the hell am I thinking? These men are murderers.
One of the FBI guys, Agent Harris...I see the actor who plays him everywhere - small roles in movies, tons of commercials. He was also on a soap opera that I watched years ago. His name is Matt Servitto, and here's his picture.

Yea, everyone knows that he was a criminal and his home life was deteriorating but it's still sad to see someone do that to them self. It makes you think why can't people just live a peaceful life and be a good person and why can't everyone get along? Even Tony asked Melfi that in therapy. I felt bad for Gene because even though he chose that life, it's still a life lost because of a wrong choice and maybe if he didn't choose that lifestyle he could of been a doctor or something who knows. Maybe I'm overthinking It, I don't know, but that's how I feel.

I felt bad for him too. He had such hope for a new life in Florida. His wife was going to be happy. Nothing was going right for the poor guy.
This also ties in with Brian's earlier point about rooting for the Mafia, lol. I mean, we saw him blow away a guy in the pizza shop a few scenes earlier.
Still, I know what you mean. He was so desperate.

I really liked this episode. I'm hoping the baby will have mellowed Janice a bit, however, I seriously doubt that. Honestly, I don't see what Bobby sees in her.
Tony getting shot, I was really not expecting that. I'm really hoping he'll be okay. I wonder what's going to happen to Uncle Junior now.
Christopher without Adriana. That's going to take some getting used to.
I like how they had her and Carmela talking in the spec house.

Call me crazy, but I think there is something fishy with Angie Bonpensiero (Big Puss's wife)
In later seasons she was flat broke thanks to Tony whacking Big Puss. Now all of a sudden she is friends with Carmella again and just bought herself a brand new Corvette. I think she maybe turned herself into a rat.

I'm sorry if I sound like I'm hung up on weight, but did Johnny Sac's wife Jinny get bigger? She was big before, but this time around, she looks dangerously morbidly obese.
I hope Johnny gets out of prison soon. I like his character on top, in the expensive suits.
And I don't want to see Tony in a hospital bed for the next three or four episodes. Some fans are kicking around the theory that Tony's dead and the show's going into a prequel. I don't think so at all.
