Hello all! I wanted to start a fan fic over here that people might be interested in. I have written some like this, but I know a lot about this subject so just bear with me and enjoy! :p :D

It was a normal day in Peekskill, or so they thought. Jo and Rick and their daughter Jamie had moved back to Peekskill so Jamie could go to school at Eastland. Dorothy 'Tootie' and Tisha were living in Peekskill also while Tisha went to Eastland. Blair and Tad now had a daughter, Molly Marie and she was three. Natalie's boyfriend, Harper, died in a plane crash on his way to do a segment. She was so depressed she basically went out with anybody. She was now with this guy Ken who she thought really loved her, but she was wrong. He made her feel so self consious about herself, that she felt no one else could love her, so she stayed. Only she stayed too long. Now she couldn't leave. Blair, Jo, dorothy, and Mrs. Garrett have arranged to havve a get together that day but Natalie didn't want to go. After days and days of non stop calls, they finally convinced her to go. They didn't know why, but when she arrived they soon knew.

Dorothy- Where's Natalie? I haven't seen her in weeks!
Jo- I know, she's been really distant lately.
Blair- You know how she gets when she gets new boyfriends. I mean, ever since Harper, she's been different.
Mrs. Garrett- We've just gotta let her grieve girls. Sometimes it takes a while.
*Knock on the door*
Jo- Since when does she knock?
Mrs. Garrett- -Glares- Come in.
Natalie- Hi guys.
Dorothy- Nat! -runs to hug her but Nat backs up- What's wrong?
Natalie- Nothing, I just gotta take off my coat.
Jo- Natalie, it's 7:30pm, it's not sunny out, don't you think you should take off the sunglasses?
Natalie- I have a migraine, I'd prefer them on.
Mrs. Garrett- Natalie...what's going on?
Natalie- Nothing.
Mrs. Garrett- -Walks over to Natalie cause she knew exactly what was going on. She took off Natalie's glasses to find a big bruise-

Mrs. Garrett- Natalie...what's going on?
Natalie- Nothing.
Mrs. Garrett- -Walks over to Natalie cause she knew exactly what was going on. She took off Natalie's glasses to find a big bruise- Natalie, what’s going on?
Natalie- What do you mean?
Tootie- The bruise!
Natalie- Look, it’s nothing. We had a little fight.
Jo- He hit you? Why I oughtta……..*Blair holds her back*
Blair- Come on, Jo, we’re not back in High School. You can’t fix things by punching someone out.
Jo- Right, we’ll just throw a pie in his face.
Blair- -Glares-
Natalie- Guys, I’ve got it under control.
Tootie- You mean you left him?
Natalie- Eh, not exactly.
Jo- Well what exactly do you mean?
Natalie- I’m handling it okay? It’s done, it’s over.
Mrs. Garrett- Alright honey.
Natalie- Now can we just eat and have a good time? It’s been forever since I’ve seen you guys!
Mrs. Garrett- -Sighs-

After dinner, Natalie left and the rest of the girls talked afterwards.

Mrs. Garrett- This isn’t like her girls.
Tootie- This isn’t “our” Natalie.
Jo- She thinks she’s so in love with this guy that she deserves to get beaten? That’s just stupid!
Blair- This is just so, unlike her. I remember the fun outspoken girl in high school Even when she was attacked, it took her a little while, but she bounced back.
Jo- This is a little bigger than that.
Mrs. Garrett- Girls, we have to be careful here. -Phone rings-
Tootie- I’ll get it. Hello?
Mrs. Garrett- She has been so upset ever since Harper, she just doesn’t know what love is anymore.
Tootie- Oh my god! That was the hospital.

Mrs. Garrett- Girls, we have to be careful here. -Phone rings-
Tootie- I’ll get it. Hello?
Mrs. Garrett- She has been so upset ever since Harper, she just doesn’t know what love is anymore.
Tootie- Oh my god! That was the hospital. Natalie was hurt. -All the girls had a look of horror on their faces-

They all of course, rushed down to the hospital.

Mrs. Garrett- Hi, we’re here to see Natalie Green.
Doctor- I’m her Doctor. Ms. Green has a nasty bruise on the side of her face, she was found unconscious, her boyfriend brought her in. However, he couldn’t tell us what happened.
Jo- We have a pretty good idea.
Doctor- I did too, but she’s not pressing charges. There’s some other news, but I’m afraid I can’t tell you without her permission, so she will have to tell you that. Maybe you can talk to her. She has a mild concussion, but she’s free to go. Just watch her for a few days.
Mrs. Garrett- Thank you.

They all went to find Natalie’s room. She was sitting on her bed, crying.

Tootie- Natalie.
Natalie- I’m fine guys.
Jo- You were just at our house, what happened?
Natalie- Well, I told you guys I would take care of it, so I tried to talk to him. Apparently that didn’t work.
Blair- Where is he?
Natalie- He said he was going back to my place, where we can talk later.
Jo- Talk??
Natalie- He brought me here, he’s sorry. Besides, it’s not that simple anymore.
Tootie- What do you mean?
Natalie- The doctor just confirmed, I’m pregnant. -Cries-
Mrs. Garrett- Oh Natalie.
Natalie- I’ve waited for this day my whole life, and now look what it has become.
Jo- We’ll help you.
Natalie- Well, I want to go home now. I’ve got to talk to Ken.
Blair- Okay we’ll drive you.

They dropped Natalie off and everyone else went home. They spent the whole night worrying about Natalie.

Natalie- Ken?
Ken- You’re home! -Hugs her- Ouch, that looks like it hurts.
Natalie- It does.
Ken- Look, I’m sorry. When you were talking about seeing other people, I just felt like you never wanted to see me again, I got angry.
Natalie- Well it’s more complicated now. I have to tell you something.
Ken- What?
Natalie- When I was at the hospital today, the doctor told me, well…I’m pregnant.
Ken- Really?
Natalie- Yeah.
Ken- And it’s mine?
Natalie- -Glares-
Ken- Just making sure. Oh Nat, we’re going to be so happy!
Natalie- What?
Ken- I grew up without a father. I can’t let my own kid go through what I went through. Natalie, will you marry me?

Natalie- You have a husband who adores you, and a child who has a great father. I lost the love of my life, and now I have a child who’s father is a batterer, and I have to live with that. I have to try to change him around.
Jo- Nat, I know how you feel, but you can’t change people like that. I worked on the police force, remember? You just can’t. I see children come in every day with father who beat them, the mothers just did their best, but it wasn’t good enough.
Natalie- Well, mine will have to be.
Tootie- Nat.

Natalie went straight home to tell Ken she would marry him. All Nat could think about was how she felt when she didn’t have her father anymore, and she didn’t want her child to ever go through that.

Ken- You will??
Natalie- Yes I will.
Ken- -Kissed her- I won’t disappoint you, Nat.
Natalie- You have to make me a promise.
Ken- Okay.
Natalie- You can never ever hit me again, or this baby.
Ken- I swear to you. I will be the best husband ever. Come on, let’s celebrate!

They waited three weeks to have the wedding and went to city hall, since Natalie didn’t want to be showing at her own wedding.

Ken- I do.
Natalie- I do.

When they kissed, everyone clapped, except Jo, Blair and Tootie. They clapped of course but they didn’t mean it. They knew this was going to end badly but they tried the best to their ability to warn Natalie, but nothing worked. Everyone went up to Nat and Ken to wish them the best.
Mrs. Garrett- Natalie. -Hug- I hope you’ll still visit me.
Natalie- Of course Mrs. Garrett, you’re like a mother to me.
Mrs. Garrett- I know if your mother were alive to see you today, she’d be so happy.
Tootie- My best friend is married, I can’t believe it.
Natalie- Thanks Tootie. -Hug-
Jo- I still think you’re in over your head, but promise you’ll call if you need anything.
Natalie- Promise you’ll be there for me.
Jo- Always. -Hug-
Blair- I never thought I’d say this, but you’re the prettiest one in the room Natalie, and I’m 2nd prettiest.
Natalie- -Laughs- Thanks Blair…I think. -Hug-
Ken- We got to go.

A few months later, Natalie was getting bigger and more worried. She started to realize, there’s an actual person inside of her, and she worried. She was afraid she made the wrong decision. She made the girls promise to stay close by and keep an eye on her. Ken hadn’t done anything wrong, but she was just scared, which worried the girls. One day, the girls decided to take Natalie shopping for baby clothes. What they didn’t know was that Ken followed them. He had a bad feeling about how Natalie has been acting lately, so he just listened.

Tootie- Are you really okay Natalie?
Natalie- Yes Tootie, I’m fine.
Jo- You don’t seem fine.
Natalie- I’m just overwhelmed. You know how it is to be overwhelmed and excited at the same time.
Blair- It’s more than that!
Natalie- -Starts crying- I’m scared.
Tootie- Of what honey, what are you scared of?
Natalie- I know he might not be fully “cured” and I’m so scared he’s not. I really screwed up.
Jo- -Hugs Natalie- You didn’t screw up Nat. You’ll make it work, you always do.
Natalie- You think?
Jo- Yeah. And you know we’re always here.
Natalie- Thanks guys.

After the shopping, Natalie went back home. They bought a bunch of baby clothes and some other things for the nursery.

Natalie- Hi.
Ken- Where have you been?
Natalie- I was out shopping with the girls, why?
Ken- You didn’t tell me.
Natalie- I didn’t think I needed to check in.
Ken- Don’t play games with me. You weren’t shopping.
Natalie- What do these bags look like in my hands??
Ken- Don’t get smart with me. You want to leave me. I heard you.
Natalie- What are you talking about?
Ken- I followed you. I heard you tell everyone you’re scared of me. Is that what you like to do, embarrass me?
Natalie- 3 people isn’t everyone and they knew from the beginning! The marks you gave me weren’t exactly invisible!
Ken- So, that’s it. You want to leave?
Natalie- No, I want this to work out. I want you to be the husband you said you’d be. I want you to get a full time job. I can’t work much longer you know.
Ken- -Sighs- Okay. I’m sorry Natalie. But you have to know how this makes me feel.
Natalie- I’m sorry too. -Hugs-

The next scene shows Mrs. Garrett, Jo, Blair, and Tootie sitting in a hospital waiting room. Tootie was pacing back and forth.

Jo- Tootie, would you please sit down?
Tootie- It’s been forever.
Blair- It takes a while you know. Remember when you had Tisha?
Tootie- Yeah, I know. I’m just anxious.
Mrs. Garrett- We all are Tootie.
Jo- You alright, Mrs. G.?
Mrs. Garrett- -Paused- What? Oh yeah I’m fine. Just getting old.
Blair- You’re not old Mrs. Garrett.
Mrs. Garrett- I’m about to become a Gr--Auntie again! Trust me, I’m old. -They all laugh-

Doctor- Okay Natalie, just one more push and you’ll see your baby.
Ken- You can do it!
Natalie- -Out of breath- Okay. -Pushed and screamed-
Doctor- It’s a girl. It’s a beautiful little girl.
Natalie- -Turns to Ken- We have a baby girl.
Ken- I know Nat. -Kissed her forehead- I’ll go tell them.
Natalie- Okay.

Ken walked out to the waiting room and all the girls stood up.

Ken- It’s a girl.
Tootie- -Rushes over to Ken and hugged him as much as she hated to- Congratulations!
Ken- Yeah thanks
Jo- When can we see Nat?
Ken- I don’t know I’ll talk to the doctor.
Mrs. Garrett- And Natalie’s okay?
Ken- Yes she’s fine.
Mrs. Garrett- -Sigh of relief- Thank goodness.
Ken- I’m going to go see how they’re doing. -Leaves-
Blair- Did he seem a little strange to you?
Jo- When doesn’t he seem strange?
Tootie- I know what Blair means. He seemed very…cold.

Ken went back into Natalie’s room where she was sleeping. The nurse was taking her blood pressure.

Nurse- Your baby is in the nursery if you’d like to go into the hall and see her. As soon as Natalie wakes up, you two can hold her.
Ken- Thanks

He walked out to the hall and looked through the glass. The nurses there knew who he was and picked Natalie and Ken’s daughter and held her to the window. He just stared and mumbled.

Ken- A girl.

Two days later, Natalie and Ken took their daughter home. They named her Bridget Joanne Smith. The next few weeks went the same way. People often came by to see the new baby and Natalie. For some reason, Natalie noticed Ken was acting strange. He barely wanted to go near the baby. He was acting like this since she was born, and she couldn’t take it anymore. She had to talk to him about it, so she put the baby down for her nap, and went into the bedroom so they could talk.

Natalie- What’s going on?
Ken- What?
Natalie- You’re acting weird.
Ken- -Getting angry- Weird??
Natalie- Well, yeah. You barely look at your own daughter! Why?
Ken- None of your business.
Natalie- I’m your wife it is my business.
Ken- -Grabs her shoulders- Because she’s a daughter that’s why!
Natalie- You mean you hate her because she’s a girl, you wanted a boy? -Pauses- I can’t believe this. What about all that crap you told me about being a great father?
Ken- That’s when I thought I was going to have a son.
Natalie- Why didn’t I listen, why?
Ken- What?
Natalie- Ken, I want a divorce, as soon as possible.

Natalie left the room and started to grab her things. Ken followed her.

Ken- I don’t think so.
Natalie- I can’t believe I was so stupid. -Continues packing-
Ken- You’re not going anywhere.
Natalie- And you’re gonna stop me huh?
Ken- Yes I am.
Natalie- Ken, I will call the police, now just stop it.
Ken- You wanna play with threats now? Okay.

Ken grabbed her and pushed her up against a wall and put his hand over her mouth.

Ken- You want to try mouthing off?
Natalie- -Shook her head no-
Ken- I thought so.
Natalie- -Bit his hand-
Ken- OW! You little…

He grabbed her before she had a chance to run anywhere and started hitting her. He got a few minutes of punching in and Natalie knew she had to get her and the baby out of there, so she kneed him and while he was on the floor thriving in pain, she quickly got up grabbed Bridget and her car keys and ran out. Got in her car and drove away.

Natalie drove over to Jo’s house. With her being an ex cop and all, she felt safe there. She knew all the girls could come over once she got there. Jo and Rick were sitting on the couch watching TV when they heard a knock on the door.

Jo & Rick- You get it.

And another knock.

Jo & Rick- No, you get it!

And another…

Rick- Fine. -Opens door- Hi Nat.
Natalie- Hi Rick. Can we come in?
Rick- Sure! Hon, It’s Natalie.
Jo- -Gets up- Hi Nat, come in.
Natalie- I’m sorry to bug you so late.
Jo- You’re not---what happened!?
Natalie- -Starts crying- I’m so stupid.

Natalie got home and walked into the house with Bridget in her arms. She knew she couldn’t grab things with Bridget so she put her down in the play pen in the living room. She turned on the baby monitor in the living room so she could hear if anything was wrong. While she was in Bridget’s room packing up some clothes, the front door crept open and someone snuck in. Natalie didn’t hear anything. The man walked over to the play pen and picked up the baby, and left the house. After Natalie put all of Bridget’s things into a travel bag, she went out to the living room to check on her. She looked around and saw she was gone. She started sweating and breathing fast. How could he have stolen her baby? She quickly called the police and Jo. Jo of course got there first.

Jo- Natalie what’s wrong?
Natalie- He took her. He took my baby!!!
Jo- What? Oh my god, what happened?
Natalie- The place was empty and I went into the back to pack Bridget’s things. I couldn’t hold her the whole time so I put her in the play pen. I put the baby monitor there. How could I not hear him? -She walked over to the baby monitor in the room she was in- It’s not plugged in. -Laughs at herself then cries- It’s not plugged in Jo. -Throws it at the wall-

They heard a knock at the door. Natalie opened it and found two patrol cops standing at the door.

Cop 1- Mrs. Smith?
Natalie- -Cringes at the sound of her own name- Yes?
Cop 1- We’re from the Peekskill Police Department. May we come in?

Cop 2- Well we weren’t able to find Ken.
Natalie- Well he was just at the park, so he must be around!
Cop 2- Maybe it would help if we had a description.
Jo- Wait a minute, you were searching for a man and you didn’t know what he looked like? No wonder you didn’t find him!

That night, Natalie and Bridget were fast asleep. Natalie brought Bridget’s bassinet in her room so she’d be close. Natalie heard a noise and rushed out to see what it was. She opened the door and saw a cat outside. She laughed at herself and locked the door. When she walked back into her room, Ken was there, holding Bridget.

Natalie- -Quietly- Ken! What are you doing here?
Ken- I came to see my daughter. Is that a problem?
Natalie- Yes it is, seeing how you aren’t even supposed to be in the state!

Natalie- Ken, what are you doing?
Ken- Do you want to die?
Natalie- No!
Ken- Well then, you have a choice to make. I can shoot you, you can shoot me, or we can live together as a family again. Because I will not handle a divorce.
Natalie- Don’t do this please.
Ken- I have to. I don’t want to loose you.
Natalie- Killing me won’t fix that.
Ken- Then, I guess you’ll have to shoot me.

Natalie couldn't believe the situation she was in. Her soon to be ex husband was given her a choice, one of them dies or they get back together. She didn't know what to do. She knew if they got back together, the abuse would start all over again. She had to buy some time so she could think about what she wanted to do.

Natalie- Can I think about it? Let's face it, it's a big decision.
Ken- Oh I bet it is. But no I can't. You have to decide.
Natalie- Please don't do this.
Ken- I don't have a choice. What's your decision.
Natalie- *Panicing to herself* {What do I do now? I have to buy time to ask the girls} Okay.
Ken- Okay what?
Natalie- We'll give this relationship one last try.
Ken- *Smiles* I knew you'd say that.
Natalie- But if you hit me again or even look at Bridget funny, I mean it, it's over!
Ken- I promise, I won't hurt you again. Come here *Moves closer*
Natalie- *Walks toward him* I..love you.
Ken- I love you too. *They kiss*

The next morning, Natalie packed the diaper bag for Bridget and got her car keys. Ken heard her moving around and went to see where she was going.

Ken- What's going on?
Natalie- Calm down honey, I'm just going to the park. It's the day of the week that all the kids play together and us moms get to talk.
Ken- You will be back though, right?
Natalie- Of course. Do you trust me? *Smiles*

At the park, Mrs. G, Jo, Blair, and Tootie met up with Natalie. She had called them the night before and told them to meet her there.

Jo- So what's going on? Our day to meet at the park isn't until Wednesday.

Ken- What?? You know I always need desert after dinner.
Natalie- Well I made a pie but it burned in the oven.

He slammed up from the table and sat on the couch and watched TV.

Ken- Can I have a beer?
Natalie- There isn't anymore.
Ken- Why not?!
Natalie- Well you drank the last one with dinner. I forgot to get some more at the store.
Ken- Can't you do anything right?
Natalie- Apparently not.
Ken- Well make yourself useful and do the dishes or something.
Natalie- No.
Ken- NO?
Natalie- I can't. I have to feed Bridget.
Ken- Dishes come before her.
Natalie- No.
Ken- *Stands up* I said do the dishes now.
Natalie- And I said I have to feed the baby.
Ken- Who cares about the baby?

Ken got red and mad. He walked over to the sink and picked up a knife.

Ken- Get over there and do the dishes now.
Natalie- I'll be back do to them. *Starts to walk away*

Ken grabbed her shirt and pulled her back. He raised the knife when cops came busting through the door.

Cop 1- FREEZE!
Ken- I'm just having dinner with my wife. You have no right to bust in my house.
Jo- Think again Ken.
Ken- You. How'd I know you'd be involved somehow.
Jo- Get him out of here.

Natalie heard Bridget start crying so he went in her room. She picked up Bridget and hugged her. Jo stood in the doorway of the nursery.

Natalie- *Rocking her back and forth* We're free. We're going to be just fine.

LOL Thanks JO! Unfortunately I'm having a lot of trouble sleeping tonight. Most night, I take my pain pill and it puts me to sleep. Now it's taking my pain away but not making me sleepy. :mad:

So I'm just sitting here watching TV and I really felt like writing. I'm glad I've been in the mood lately. It's so great having a laptop because usually if I was tired or sick, I couldn't bring the computer into my room. Now if I feel sick (since I've been in bed for 2 days straight) I can do whatever I want on the computer. :D

I WENT THRU GALLBLADDER SURG ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO. SUPPOSED TO BE SO ROUTINE. HA! I WAS IN CONSTANT PAIN FROM THE TIME I WOKE UP IN THE HOSPITAL BED. THEY KEPT ME THERE OVERNIGHT, AND DISCHARGED ME, BUT I NEEDED HELP WALKING TO THE BATHROOM WHILE I WAS THERE (THANK GOODNESS SOME FRIENDS WERE THERE)

I WAS BASICALLY IN BED FOR OVER 2 MONTHS! I COULDN'T WALK UPRIGHT, AND I WON'T EVEN GO INTO DISCUSSION ABOUT THE BATHROOM! I WAS IN CONSTANT STOMACH PAIN. I COULDN'T DO OR ENJOY ANYTHING. I COULD NEVER GET INTO A COMFORABLE POSITION TO WATCH TV OR SLEEP (HA-WHAT WAS THAT?) MY WHOLE STOMACH ACHED FROM SIDE TO SIDE! I'M USUALLY PRETTY ACTIVE, BUT WHEN MY SISTER SAW ME, SHE TOOK ME TO THE SURGEONS OFFICE, AND THEY FINALLY DID SOME TESTS. I KEPT TELLING HIM AND MY REGULAR DOCTOR THAT I WAS IN CONSTANT PAIN BEFORE THIS, AND THEY SAID I HAD SURGERY, AND ALTHOUGH MINOR, IT IS STILL SURGERY, SO EVEN THOUGH THERE WOULD BE SOME PAIN, IT WOULD BE ALRIGHT. MY SISTER WAS SO UPSET BECAUSE I COULD BARELY MOVE. I SWEAR, I THOUGHT SOMETHING WAS LEFT INSIDE SOMEHOW, ALTHOUGH IT AS LASER SURGERY. I WANTED TO DIE, I WAS N SO MUCH PAIN! BECAUSE IT COULD TRAVEL OR RUPTURE AND I COULD DIE! WHAT!?! I WAS SO :mad: HERE HE WAS TELLING ME BEFORE TO TRY TO DO NORMAL DAILY ROUTINE STUFF, ALTHOUGH I WAS NEVER GIVEN A CLEARANCE TO GO BACK TO WORK AT THE TIME; AND HE BASICALLY IGNORED ME THE WHOLE TIME I WAS INFORMING HIM OF MY PAIN! First off, let me say you will ALWAYS be Jo to me! :D It's so awesome your name is Jodi because if I had that name, I would have everyone call me Jo! lol

Second, that is a scary story! :eek: Especially since I have to go for an ultrasound to see if it is my gallbladder acting up. I don't think it is but they don't know what's causing my pain. That's so scary and I'm sorry you had to go through all that. Second opinions are a very good idea. I'm glad you pullec through. :)

I AM SORRY YOU'RE IN A LOT OF PAIN, KELL. IT'S BAD ENOUGH WHEN YOU'RE DEPRIVED OF SLEEP, BUT IN PAIN AND NO SLEEP:( I UNDERSTAND.

I WENT THRU GALLBLADDER SURG ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO. SUPPOSED TO BE SO ROUTINE. HA! I WAS IN CONSTANT PAIN FROM THE TIME I WOKE UP IN THE HOSPITAL BED. THEY KEPT ME THERE OVERNIGHT, AND DISCHARGED ME, BUT I NEEDED HELP WALKING TO THE BATHROOM WHILE I WAS THERE (THANK GOODNESS SOME FRIENDS WERE THERE)

I WAS BASICALLY IN BED FOR OVER 2 MONTHS! I COULDN'T WALK UPRIGHT, AND I WON'T EVEN GO INTO DISCUSSION ABOUT THE BATHROOM! I WAS IN CONSTANT STOMACH PAIN. I COULDN'T DO OR ENJOY ANYTHING. I COULD NEVER GET INTO A COMFORABLE POSITION TO WATCH TV OR SLEEP (HA-WHAT WAS THAT?) MY WHOLE STOMACH ACHED FROM SIDE TO SIDE! I'M USUALLY PRETTY ACTIVE, BUT WHEN MY SISTER SAW ME, SHE TOOK ME TO THE SURGEONS OFFICE, AND THEY FINALLY DID SOME TESTS. I KEPT TELLING HIM AND MY REGULAR DOCTOR THAT I WAS IN CONSTANT PAIN BEFORE THIS, AND THEY SAID I HAD SURGERY, AND ALTHOUGH MINOR, IT IS STILL SURGERY, SO EVEN THOUGH THERE WOULD BE SOME PAIN, IT WOULD BE ALRIGHT. MY SISTER WAS SO UPSET BECAUSE I COULD BARELY MOVE. I SWEAR, I THOUGHT SOMETHING WAS LEFT INSIDE SOMEHOW, ALTHOUGH IT AS LASER SURGERY. I WANTED TO DIE, I WAS N SO MUCH PAIN! I COULDN'T MOVE, SLEEP, EAT-NOTHING. I WAS THINKING, HOW IS THIS NORMAL? I WAS SUPPOSED TO GO BACK TO WORK 2 DAYS AFTER THE SURGERY.

WELL...AFTER THEY DID TESTS...TURNED OUT A BLOOD CLOT HAD FORMED ON THE LINING OF MY LIVER. THEN THE SURGEON GETS ALL WORRIED AND SAYS, YOU HAVE TO HAVE COMPLETE BEDREST. DO NOT DO A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G!! BECAUSE IT COULD TRAVEL OR RUPTURE AND I COULD DIE! WHAT!?! I WAS SO :mad: HERE HE WAS TELLING ME BEFORE TO TRY TO DO NORMAL DAILY ROUTINE STUFF, ALTHOUGH I WAS NEVER GIVEN A CLEARANCE TO GO BACK TO WORK AT THE TIME; AND HE BASICALLY IGNORED ME THE WHOLE TIME I WAS INFORMING HIM OF MY PAIN! THEN HE SAID THE BLOD CLOT SHOULD OBSOLVE, BUT DIDN'T KNOW HOW LONG IT WOULD TAKE. THEN ADDED, IF IT ISN'T WITHIN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME, THEY'D HAVE TO OPEN ME UP AGAIN! :eek: WHAT!???! THAT WAS THE WORST THING YOU COULD'VE SAID TO ME.

WELL, NO MEDS WORKED FOR THE PAIN AT ALL. THE ONLY THING THAT HELPED GET ME DROWSY ENOUGH WAS PURKASET (SP?) OH, I STILL FELT THE PAIN ALLRIGHT, BUT I WAS ABLE TO LAY UP AGAINST THE WALL AND FINALLY FALL ASLEEP.

Natalie heard Bridget start crying so he went in her room. She picked up Bridget and hugged her. Jo stood in the doorway of the nursery.

Natalie- *Rocking her back and forth* We're free. We're going to be just fine.

A month later, Ken was sentenced to 3 years in prison, then 14 months probabtion. He also had to attend a wife batterers program. If he didn't go, he would go right back to jail. Natalie was granted a restraining order. Ken wasn't allowed to go anywhere near her or he'd go right back to jail. The night they got all this news, Natalie invited everyone over to dinner.

Jo- We're so happy for you Natalie.
Mrs. Garrett- You handled all of this so well.
Natalie- Well I learned from the best.
Mrs. Garrett- :)
Tootie- You think the batterer's program is going to help him?
Natalie- I hope so. He's a really nice guy. He just has a nasty temper.
