I know I was born on a Sunday morning, shortly after 8am. I weighed 7 lbs, 3oz. It was January and freezing outside. I was named Janice for January...whatever on that, lol. No problems with delivery.
My father drove my mother to the hospital the night before. My grandmother came over to babysit my two older sisters.
That's all I know. How about you?

If I recall what my mother told me about it correctly, it was around 4:30 or 5:00 pm on a Wednesday and my grandmother was there in the delivery room.

I was born around 7:30 A.M., and weighed 7 lbs, 5oz. I know I was born with a heart murmer, and I know that my birth was alot tougher on my mom, then it was when she had my older brother. That's about it.
I was born a week before Chirstmas in 1968. I was a few days early, according to my Mother. My Mother went into labor as her and Dad were putting up decorations.
There was an epidemic of the Hong Kong flu in Jersey City ( Seriously, the Hong Kong flu) so we had to stay at the hospital for an extra day or two to make sure we weren't infected.
There were rumors that my birth would unite the nations of the world in peace, but I think that was a load of crap.

I was born at 1:11am. My parents we eating at a restaurant when my mother went into labor. That's all I really know.
Well, there's also some bad stuff that supposively happened after I was born. My mom has said my father disappeared for two weeks the day after I was born and left her alone at the hospital. But my dad insists that none of it is true. Who knows?

I know I was born at 8:31 pm, not sure what day it was. I think either a Friday or Saturday. Around 6 or 7 lbs. No idea how long I was. I was the fifth and last child so by the time I came along my mom no longer kept track of that stuff. My mom told me she went into labor while scrubbing the kitchen floor. She tracked down my dad at one of the bars he hung out at. He said he would come home to take her to the hospital as soon as he finished his drink. After a couple hours he finally came home. I was born about a half hour after they arrived at the hospital. My mom thought she was going to have me in the car. The neighbors babysat my siblings. I happened to be born on my older brothers 7th birthday so we always had to share a cake growing up but I didn't mind.

I know my mom caught an amonia at 7 months and they didn't think we were going to survive it so they wanted to I guess terminate the pregnancy, but she wouldn't allow it. I was born almost 2(i think) months early, and was having problems breathing on my own for some time. My aunt has told me a priest came in twice a day for 3 weeks and prayed for us because they didn't think one of us would make it..My dad was in Australia on business, so he wasn't around as usual. To add to it my grandma(My moms mother) was killed while my mom was in the hospital, she was never able to attend the funeral, or say goodbye.. so to this day my mom hasn't really said much about it, everything i know is from my aunts. So basically I for the rest of my life will never question my mothers love for me.

I was born a little bit after midnight on a Saturday, August 27, 1988. My dad came home from work at night back then. He wanted to go bowling with my mom, but she was actually starting to go into labor right before he came home. It was a successful birth for her, but I was born about a month premature, and I had to be put in an incubator for ten days because my liver was weak.

I was born at 5:02 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13 1985. I weighed in at 7 ibs 12 ozs and I was an unscheduled C- section, because I was in the breach position the entire time. My mom had wanted to know what sex I was, but they never could tell her because of the position I was in. Well when the nurse was down there checking to see how far along she was, she told my mom that yep I was breach, and asked if she knew the sex of the baby. My mom said no she didn't know but she wanted to. The nurse said I was a girl, lol because there was nothing in between my legs. Anyway all went fine with the C-section. My father wasn't allowed in the delivery room, because they hadn't taken some special class or something like that. My mom said he got to hold me more though.

9:51pm on Friday, August 16, 1985. My mom went into labor when she was feeding my sibs (then 3 and 5 years old) dinner, and within two hours, I came along. I was three weeks early, to boot. I was supposed to have come along on Friday, September 6, 1985.

Mine is an interesting tale...
i was supposed to come out on St. Patrick's day (which would've made me a Patrick), but it passed by with several false alarms before my mom woke up early in the morning on April 1st to wake up my dad to tell him that this was the one. He didn't believe her, so he decided to make himself some eggs before taking her to the hospital - my mom got fed up and drove the family car (a blue 1969 Ford Mustang) to the hospital herself. She parked in one of the ambulance spots, telling them that she'd be back to move it in an hour (which she DID).
I was born 10lbs - 11oz after 20 minutes of labor, and some 3000 miles away my mom's father woke up at approximately the same time after dreaming of the birth and called my dad to find out what had happened. Dad had to call a taxi to get to the hospital, but mom didnt want to talk to him for some reason. She made him take the bus home too I think.

I was born, I believe, on a Monday or a Tuesday, and I was born at around 2:30 p.m. I was my mom's firstborn child, so she was in the hospital for a few days before I was born, and she had to stay about two more days thereafter. I was about 7lbs.
I was born the day before the Fourth of July 1988, weighing 8 pounds 2.5 ounces and 22 1/2 inches.

Sunday night, 9:44pm. My impending arrival pissed off the Iranians so much they took hostages. A week late I was, because well, I probably didn't want to wake up, or I was too lazy to move out...The first time my mom held me, I gave her a dirty look. 6lb, 14oz. I was born one week before my parent's one year anniversary.

I was born at 9:05pm on September 21st, 1989, in a small town outside of Toledo, Ohio. I weighed just over 8 pounds. Apparently I was late and once I got out I was ANGRY that I had to be disturbed and cried the entire day.
Exactly 2 hours, 55 minutes later....

Makes me wonder if that had anything to do with me wanting to be a Meteorologist ever since I could talk.
I was born at 6:40pm on May 22 1979, it was a tuesday. I was born right on my due date. My grandma called my mom and teased, "Don't you know you're supposed to be having a baby," and my mom replied "Well I might, I'm timing contractions. I was 8 lbs 5 ozs and 22 inches long. My mom said I had an odd shaped head, probably because they used forceps to turn me a little. Also since the doctor knew my parents name choices before hand, he didn't say "it's a girl", he said "it's a Sara".

I was born on a Sunday morning at 4:19 am. I weighed 7 lbs. 14 oz. My mom started having contractions at 1:00 am, so she was't in labor too long. She said the day before she was scrubbing the floor and lifting the water bucket, which she wasn't suppose to do.

My mom went into labor after watching the Hollywood Squares:lol: ; then, I was born four hours later, a month premature, I weighed 6 pounds and was 20 inches long (so I was a tall, skinny baby); and the reason why I was born, (exactly) a month early (I was due, January 4th, 1970) because I did not want to miss out being alive in the 1960s.;)

That I was born at 5:45am Central time on a Sunday Morning. The sun was rising over the River right outside the hospital at the time. My mom went into labor at 3pm the previous afternoon. Her, my grandmother, my aunt, and her daughter were getting ready to go shopping when her water broke. My dad had just gotten to work about an hour away and beat them to the hospital. I was born exactly on my due date.

I'm the oldest of three kids. My mom had high blood pressure so she was admitted on September 15 of 1979. Her birthday was on September 19. The next day the nurses gave Mom a cheese sandwich and the lady in the bed next to her complained because they didn't give her anything. So I was born 10:36 pm on 9/20, in the middle of Quincy. I was only 5 pounds and was blue. So I had to be given oxygen right away, but other than that I was OK. I don't know where my folks came up with the name Monika, but that's what I've been ever since. :)

I was born by c-section on April 5, 1965. Early Sunday morning. I was six pounds.
I was given up for adoption. My birth mother made contact with my parents (adopted parents) through an acquaintance who had told her that there was a couple with two adopted children who may want to adopt another baby. My natural parents visited my parents and my father declined. He said two children were enough. The day I was born, my natural mother called my mother (adoptive) and told her I was born and if they would consider changing their minds. My mother (adoptive) cried and cried to my dad. My dad loved my mother so much, he changed his mind. While my father was at the hospital signing the birth papers as the "legal father" my mother and my sister and brother went "shopping" and bought EVERYTHING from clothes, diapers, furniture, bottles, etc. This wasn't a "legal adoption". My birth parents just left the hospital with me and my adoptive family waited outside and I was handed over. There was never any worry that she may change her mind. I don't consider my family to be my "adoptive family"...I only use that term when I am telling the story so I don't confuse people. I love my family very much and my parents were the most loving parents in the world. I couldn't have asked for any better parents.
I was born on a Saturday morning round 10 a.m. and my mom said I cried for
3 months after I was born, she said she was ready to give me back.

That is quite a touching story Irene. It took courage for your bio parents to let you go, knowing you would have a better life. Your *real* parents got lucky when they got to take you home. I'm sorry your mother died so young. I can see that she was a wonderful woman.

I was born a few days early. I had the umbilical cord around my neck...the doctors could detect my heartbeat going down so I had to be born via C-section. My parents wanted to know what gender I was going to be (especially since all my cousins were boys) but they couldn't because the umbilical cord was in the way :p . So...I was surprise when I was born because I was the first and last girl of the family (out of my cousins, I mean).

i was born on a dark and stormy night on monday march 30 at 12:48 am 1981
i woke my mom and dad up in the middle of the night and my poor dad left our poor cat that we had at the time out side in the pouring rain she was not at all happy with my dad doing that to her but i don't think he meant too do it just got a little bit panicy i think!
My mom didn't want to have me at the army hospital because they had let a man bleed to death on the operating table earlier that yeaer. So she & my dad scheduled a trip home to visit her parents right on my due date. And then I was 2 weeks late. On the night I was born my dad had just left to return to the army post, he was halfway there before my grandpa got ahold of him and told him to come back. I was born at 8 the next morning.
Later that day a tornado came through the town. It fortunately didn't hit the hospital, but it came close. My sister was born during an electrical storm that burned down an 8-story-building, and my brother was born during a blizzard. That's when my parents decided they had enough children

I was born, from what I've been told, by C-section at 12:36 AM on November 27, 1962. It might have been right before Thanksgiving, I'm still trying to find the correct time, because my mother told me that I was born on a Thursday morning, depending on how you look at the time and which day that falls on. I think it was on a Wednesday. Oh wait. I remember a mug she got me over 20 years ago which said that "Tuesday's child is full of grace" which means she probably counted it from the TUESDAY night/Wednesday morning reckoning.... Scratch Thursday. :turkey:
Anyway, my father was serving in the Navy of the coast of Long Beach, CA., I was told he had gone on icebreaking ships to as far as Antarctica. My mother was in the hospital, I was told she and my older brother had a small cheap apartment there. I was also told that when I was born, my lungs collapsed and that I was put in an incubator to keep from dying. Was I premature? I think I was told that at one point, but, fortunately, I turned out okay (obviously).

Actually, I'm told I was born C-section. For some reason, my 2 sisters & brother were, too. I don't know why. My parents were also going to name me Kelly, but they named me Andrea, kind of after my dad whose name was Andrew. Sometimes I wish they had named me Kelly. Nobody gets that wrong. Alot of people get Andrea wrong. I've been called Angela, Adrienne, An-dray-a, which bugs me the most of all!!
