Same here, but I also enjoyed The Young Riders when it was on.

Although it was short-lived, my sister and I both loved that show.
It's hard to believe now, but I'm old enough to remember when the western
genre dominated the television landscape. Today it is all but extinct.
Someone needs to bring back the cowboy!

yes, I really wish TV would bring them back!! ENCORE WESTURNS shows "GENE AUTREY", "CHEYANNE", & "MAVERICK" but unfortunately, "MAVERICK" always airs while we're having dinner and the other two are on too early for me. And I can't record them, because my DVR doesn't record that channel.:(

I own the entire series on DVD! :) Do you have it too?
I felt very cheated with how CBS treated this show. Too bad we never got that final 2 hour sendoff to wrap up storylines.

Does Little House on the Prairie count as Western? If it does, that would be one of my choices. :D

I think it does, because I read somewhere once that, it could be looked at as somewhat of a continuance of "BONANZA".

Not sure if Little House on the Prarie counts as a western. There werent any shootouts and outlaws on that show.

They DID have a few plots about outlaws, but I can see your point.
