ARE THERE ANY RULES ON PREACHY MODS ?

i just like to know ,.. are there any rules on mods who like to quote the law incorrectly ,.. threaten you with slander suits,.. and are "pming me to death ".
are there any rules on this ?

i don't lose my temper unless provoked ... some chumps here ... aka cowards .. like to talk sassy without vulgarity ,.. fine ... or is it ? does profanity make a person that much different from a provoker who uses 20 letter words to convey the same insults .

yet some mods like to explain to me the simularities between HOMOSEXUALS AND AFRICAN AMERICANS ... to me that is insulting ..

tell me the law on that ... or the rules on pming me a wanna be intimadating message like this:

You should include an example where a mod is preachy or intimidating if you are going to make the claim that a particular mod is overstepping their grounds....I read the above message and got nothing from it except, that the person in question does not like you and is trying to coexist on the board along with you.

I would think that is a bit better than telling you to take a hike and then existing without you.

You questioned me for doing so. I write you very politely, and stated some users find those words deragatory.

You replied to me, stating you are ANTI GAY and I can tell whatever straight people I knew, you are Anti GAY.

A battle I most certainly do not want on this board.

At that time you said I made you angry by editing you.
So I referefed the entire thing to both another modeartor and the OWNER
asking their opinion.

Todds opinion was the words are hateful and offensive.
The editing stays.

After that, you told me that being gay, is the same thing as being a child molseter and have sex with animals.

So I wrote the below state stated we must agree to disagree, its a large boarge, and good luck trading.
And requested we keep such personal matters OFF the board- as it can be a heat, and unneeded post- which esepcially in the trade section.

But to be honest, I have to say with all due respect I think you are wrong on this issue. Now, this is not personal and I will say that I have ALWAYS been 100% happy with EVERY Trade we have done.

The Moderators and TJ run the show, and WE the posters and traders need to follow the rules they put forth, Whether you agree with them or not.

There are some rules on the board I dont agree with either, BUT i honestly think there is nothing to be gained by going down this road

It is easy to see you have some strong personal opinions on some controversial issues... and some opinions which are going to be unpopular in most circles. That is certainly your right. However, the trading post is not the forum to voice them. And, although I can understand your feelings that the moderators might be overly political correct in editing your comments, you must also understand that the job the moderators have is tedious, frustrating and overall a big pain. They get no pay, and are CONSTANTLY dealing with scammers, thieves, liars and the petty infighting which has infected this board. No matter what choices the moderators make, they will be unpopular with someone. It is not just your posts which have been edited and I can say that the moderators have been pretty even handed overall. Some words like F*g or D*ke are insulting to certain people as much as words such as N*^&ER and K*IKE are to others--- and while you may find nothing wrong with them, others do. I have found that if you have a disagreement with someone, it is best to simply state the facts and state your side of the case, without calling names and without getting worked up over it. And since the moderator in question has gotten a second opinion from the higher ups, the matter seems to be a moot point.

Sometimes it is far better to not worry about who is wrong or who is right on an issue, and instead ask "is this a fight that is worth fighting". And on this one, I can say that it is a fight that is better left unfought. Nothing can be gained from stroking the fire. And whether you disagree with the choices the moderators have made on the issue, it is best to learn to live with them, and accept the standards and guidelines that they have set.
