Once Deborah Joy Levine (series creator) and John Shea (Lex Luthor) departed, it was never the same afterwards. It wasn't a bad show, but it would never be as good as season one.

They also screwed with Teri Hatcher's hair, making it short. Bad move.

That wasn't their doing, that was all Teri's. She sprung it on them with no warning ;)

If I was the producer, I would have sent her down to wardrobe to get a wig and told her "grow it back!":D

So of the people who have the new DVDs...what are everyone's thoughts (especially the extras)? I don't get to see mine until Thursday unfortunately, because that's the next time I get to see my boyfriend. But I cannot wait! :)

Am I the only one that thought Teri's hair was cute once she cut it?? Everyone seems to complain about that, going as far as to say it ruined the show.

It's the "felicity effect," once the hot female lead cuts her hair off, it's over!!

No, Teri's hairstyle change wasn't what ruined the show - it was the departure of the series' creator, Deborah Joy Levine. She had a five year plan mapped out, with Lois & Clark finally coming together in the final episode, but the producers sped things up with their romance and with increasingly silly villains, it sort of torpedoed the show creatively. Still a good show, but that first year was great.

Yeah...I've just seen other people around the net blame it on Teri's hair, much like Felicity. Your explanation makes much more sense than a haircut.
