Steve Urkel should have had his own show.
They should have given Kelly Bundy her own show. Her character was getting stale and too grown to play the part she was.
Joey Lawrence should have been spun off from Blossom. I know he had his own show, but it wasn't a spin off.
Esther and Woodrow should have been spun off of Sanford and Son.
Anymore?

Michael Richards had his own show for a short time after Seinfeld which did bomb, but it wasn't based on his character Kramer and wasn't a spinoff of Seinfeld.

That would be great! Didn't they get married in some Saved by the Bell movie? And since they are in their early 30s now, the whole living life with kids thing could work. And all of the old gang could guest star and whatnot. I miss them all!

Instead of spinning off Joey, I wish "Friends" had spun off Chandler and Monica. The characters would have had plenty of room to evolve after having moved away from the rest of the gang to start their own family. I'd have watched it. I forced myself to sit through two episodes of "Joey" and decided I'd had enough. Same old jokes on a different coast.

Urkel became the focus, but he was still credited as a side character. By spinning him off, it would have worked, because with him off the show, it would have focused on the original concept, the family. I personally liked that 1st season...without him. I stopped watching it when it became "the Urkel Show"

They'd need more sophisticated scripts that College Years had. But I'd still watch.

I believe in "The Hooterville Handbook" by Steve Cox, it says that Alf and Ralph Monroe from Green Acres were being considered to be spun-off...I think that would have been interesting. I'd also like seeing Eb from that show be spun-off.
I wonder how a spin-off with Ernest T. Bass (of "The Andy Griffith Show") trying to adjust to living in a city would be like...

Now that I've seen this show in reruns, I couldnt agree more. It just got ridiculous, especially later on. I remember when I was little, most of the neighborhood kids at school and myself didnt call the show Family Matters. No, we called it Urkel.

Mimi from Drew Carey would've been good, and she was suppose to get her own show. Don't know what happened. I'd like to see the adventures of Phoebe Buffet from Friends, also Monica & Chandler with their new family. Mike and Gloria Stivic from All In The Family. Bookman from Good Times.

um, yes it would have. a spin-off can use any character from a show, so long as the character gets their own show. Although this would have virtually ended Family Matters.

A Few i always wanted:
I would have loved to see a Designing Women spin-off that featured Bernice Clifton and her life in her Retirement home... that would have been freaking hilarious!
90210 spun-off Melrose Place, but i would have killed for a spin-off the featured Brenda in London...
Cybill is one of my favorite shows and when that ended i would have loved for a spin-off featuring Mary-Anne (Christine Branski's) character... or a whole show about "The Waiter" would have been hilarious! a show about the inner-workings of a resturatunt!

She was too old and stale to keep playing the lazy slutty daughter. What I was saying is that they could have given her her own show with the same personality, but focused on her social life outside of the Bundy home.
