I am thinking that the second season of Beaver will come out. Maybe by the Summer. At least I hope.

I would also predict that we will see additional seasons for ALF, All in the Family, Arrested Development, Bewitched, The Bob Newhart Show, Charles in Charge, The Cosby Show, Diff'rent Strokes, Everybody Loves Raymond, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Full House, Gimme A Break, The Golden Girls, Green Acres, Growing Pains, Hogan's Heroes, Home Improvement, The King of Queens, Leave it to Beaver, Married with Children, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, My Favorite Martian, The Nanny, NewsRadio, Night Court, The Partridge Family, Reba, Scrubs, The Simpsons, That '70s Show, Too Close for Comfort, and Who's the Boss?.
I agree with the predictions of all those continuations, with an a question mark for The Nanny and Who's The Boss, just because it's Sony. They're confusing sometimes. But I can definitely see another season of Diff'rent Strokes before the year is over (fingers crossed).
If Sony continues with releasing some of their one year wonders, I'd like to see Square Pegs come out. If they push 80s sitcoms, it'd be great to pair 227 Season 2 with What's Happening Now Season 1.
I think Martin will debut this year also.
My two biggest hopes, not predictions, are for season sets of One Day At A Time and Welcome Back Kotter. There are others I'd like, but those are the two main ones I hope to see.
This may be a bold prediction, but I think that we'll see another season of Bewitched, another season of Bob Newhart and the debuts of Gidget and The Flying Nun.

very interesting and thorough analysis of the year to come in DVD's. I hope your predictions all ring true.
I notice you said you think we'll see season 2 of GAB this year, that would be fantastic becuase Universal isn't always the most reliable company to get followups from. I would certainly hope at least the first five of the six seasons makes it to shelves because it's a great, underrated, and somewhat forgotten gem.
I hope I can still enjoy it (I admit that some of Dana Plato's scenes on Diff'rent Strokes are hard to watch knowing what happened to her, like the ice-skating episode in season 5), it's kinda eerie that seemingly every adult on the show minus Telma Hopkins has died though :( Hopefully Nell knows wherever she is that she is missed

I predict more Bob Newhart, MTM if sales are good enough for season three, Golden Girls, possibly more Nanny, more Taxi, Cheers, Frasier, All in the Family, The Jeffersons, etc.
I predict a big Lucy year as well- TLDCH, TLS, HL Seasons, and even maybe a few specials thrown in here and there!
Starters on DVD- PJ Seasons, The Phil Silvers Show, The Beverly Hillbillies seasons, Family Ties?, Facts of Life, and I also for some reason can't help but think alot of classic 50's shows are gonna be released like "Love That Bob", "Ozzie and Harriet", "Burns and Allen", "The Life of Riley", "Our Miss Brooks", etc. (I'M TALKING SEASON SETS!)
The Ropers, Three's A Crowd- stand a good chance as well
I predict a HUGE Get Smart release pulling out the stops from HBO (possibly even bigger than SEINFELD on DVD! Not an easy task! (or at least the release will come close to Seinfeld standards))
I predict some more Bob Newhart in NEWHART, a decent Odd Couple release (Jack is at least recording a commentary track (see TSOD)), and The Honeymooners in color.
I won't even list the shows that are a given to have future releases like TAGS, so I'll leave it at that. Wouldn't be a bad year, huh?

I cross my fingers for the following in 2006:
Charmed seasons 5-7 (season 6 is where my collection absolutely ends, but I think season 7 will likely be out this year too)
Diff'rent Strokes season 3 (I dunno why but I envision August for this... even though I don't even yet know if season 2 will sell enough for season 3)
Facts Of Life seasons 1/2 (I think Sony might finally listen to fans once and for all and stop holding lackluster sales of other shows against it. FOL and DS are related but I know fans of DS who don't like FOL and FOL fans who don't like DS)
Gimme A Break season 2 (please let season one be a success on DVD)
Golden Girls seasons 5-7 (word got out that Betty White recorded commentary for season 5, so likely season 5 might be out in May... if they follow this up, season 7 will complete this series in November)
Kate And Allie seasons 1/2 (rumored for a spring release, I am sure 1 and 2 will be released together since season 1 was so short)
Mama's Family seasons 1/2 (season 1 at least has been mentioned as coming in 06... hopefully the NBC episodes are packaged together)
One Day At A Time season 1 (been rumored since Sept 2004... apparantly rumors are spreading about an April release.... Mackensie Phillips herself even says it's time for DVD)
Roseanne seasons 4-5 (the show enters its peak... if they keep going at the every 3 month rate, at least these two will be out this year, maybe season 6 at the end of the year but I figure it'll at least be out by early 2007)
Seinfeld seasons 7-9 (you KNOW it's coming, there's no shock about this, season 7 likely on May 16th and seasons 8 and 9 to coincide with Thanksgiving)
Simon And Simon season 1 (with Knight Rider and A-Team coming to an end on DVD, maybe Universal will see fit to release this alongside future Magnum P.I. sets... the show is great up until the time Tim Reid leaves the cast and I'd definately like to have this one to keep)

July:
Sabrina The Teenage Witch: Season 1
I'd love if Sabrina came out on DVD this year, I'm not sure if it will though.
Hopefully we'll see Ellen season 4, and maybe we'll get news about a That's So Raven season set.

Isint there supposed to be an upcoming movie soon? If there is that would probably help the cause of getting it on DVD. But that may have been just a rumor about the upcoming movie...

with Ellen season four, I have a feeling A&E is going to chicken out of it because of the music rights, since each episode that season, she had a famous musical guest, people like Bonnie Raitt, The Bee Gees, Joan Jett, and the sort coming in and playing part of one of their songs for Ellen

TJ's predictions of Happy Days, Mork and Mindy, Laverne & Shirley and Bosom Buddies in '06 make me very happy, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up any higher than what Paramount has given me :cuss:

That was something I had never thought about.
If that becomes an issue, I'd rather them release it with the same theme song for every opening just to have the episodes. Of course, I'd rather it be unaltered. I'm just saying, in this case the show means more to me than a few opening credits.
I figure season four would be their biggest release of the series. Seeing as it's the groundbreaking season.

The very reliable UltimateDisney.com says Buena Vista plans to release "Scrubs," "Lost" and "Desperate Housewives" in the same manner they did last year - with the next season of "Scrubs" hitting in mid-May and both "Lost" and "Desperate Housewives" releasing their second seasons in September before their new seasons start.
Aside from season three of "Scrubs," I'm hoping for the remaining seasons of "Cheers", "Frasier" and "Seinfeld," at least the first season of "Joey" and more of "Will & Grace." I'm also looking forward to the complete series release of "The Comeback" and the first two volumes of "Animaniacs."

Well I have read that Boy Meets World Season 4 was delayed cause Disney wanted a better release date for it, so I think that will come out in March or April.
I predict this year we'll get:
Boy Meets World Season 5(possibly by the end of the year, Disney seems to be doing good not releasing them too far apart despite the delays)
Wings Season 3, possibly 4 as well
I'm really hopeful for:
Who's the Boss? Season 2
Bosom Buddies, they should release both seasons together and then that's one series that would be complete
Dharma & Greg-geesh what's the holdup on this great show?
Family Ties-I don't understand the hold up on this release either
Sabrina the Teenage Witch
Silver Spoons-probably a long shot
The Hogan Family-with Jason Bateman on Arrested Development(despite the cancellation) and his popularity having grown, this would be a perfect time for a release.

I see Vashti beat me to it, I'm surprised you didn't know that Dana Plato committed suicide (allegedly) in 1999. Knowing her fate, some of the Kimberly-centric episodes are harder to watch knowing that unlike Todd Bridges, she never successfully overcame her demons. Todd had a train wreck life too for several years after the show ended but he's been recovered and has turned his life around for the past decade.

I had heard that her and todd both had drug problems but I never knew she died from them, I did know she died but I wasn't sure how...

There is no release date yet, infact it isn't even scheduled they just want to hype up fans with false advertising...

The only sets listed as "Coming Soon" on the ad are One Day At A Time, Season 1 and The Partridge Family Season 1 (which I believe is out...).
Everything else is just ads for already released sets.

That should be the tip-off that it's obviously old news from an old flyer. That Mad About You collection isn't a new release, so that's not the most recent flyer included in their releases. That "coming soon" for ODAAT was from a year and a half ago.

The other day was the first time I'd seen that set in the stores here so I had no idea it had been out for so long, thus NO idea the flyer was older. I never said it was a new release, just that I just bought it. Strange it just hit stores here....well, they say Oregon is behind times so I guess that's why!
