Everybody seems to be talking about how great it would be if The Hogan Family would be released on dvd. Yet no one is really taking any affirmitive action towards this goal. Most people are just voting for it at www.tvshowsondvd.com but that is just not enough for a dvd release to happen. We the fans have to let Warner Brothers know that we want to see our show be released on dvd format. Because just voting for it on www.tvshowsondvd.com is not working, I just checked the numbers today 12/31/05 and Valerie was at 277 votes while The Hogan Family was at six hundred something I don't remember the exact number. But even still that is not enough to convince the studio to release the show on dvd, so I have decided to write Warner Brothers a letter and I hope you all will do the same. Though not only will I write a letter but I will have my friends to do so as well, and hopefully if enough people write letters the studio just might take notice and release The Hogan Family on dvd. I just feel I have to do something because I really want this show to be released, and just talking about it:confused is not going to make it happen.

I think writing Warner Brothers a letter is a great idea. If all of us fans really want to see Valerie / Valerie's Family / The Hogan Family to get released on DVD in season sets, then writing a letter to Warner Brothers is not a bad idea. It's now 2006, so the show is now 20 years old. Knowing that its now 2006, Warner Brothers should really consider releasing the first season of this show on DVD. Come on all you Valerie / Valerie's Family / The Hogan Family Fans, write Warner Brothers a letter and tell them that you want to see this show get released on DVD in season sets.

Hey daso87,
I was wondering if Warner Brothers wrote back letting you know if they will be releasing Valerie / Valerie's Family / The Hogan Family on DVD in season sets? If they did right back, what did they say? I really hope that Warner Brothers will decide to release Valerie / Valerie's Family / The Hogan Family on DVD in season sets.

I contacted Warner Bros. Online Customer Service, and they have noted my request for this series. Thanks for providing the mailing address. I'll have to look into sending them a letter (which I hope is better than response I get from Paramount - which is none). I think another venue to look into is to contact TV Land/or Nick-at-Nite and convince them to air reruns of Valerie/Valerie's Family/The Hogan Family. Besides the two episodes that was aired last year on TV Land as part of the Warner Bros. 50th Anniversary marathon, it hasn't aired in syndication since Pax TV and before that on local affiliates. It needs to be in syndication.
Voting on TVShowsOnDVD is just one factor of many that can help bring this sitcom on DVD. Jason Bateman and "Arrested Development" is constantly in the news right now (and if Showtime really does pick this up and its successful - and I'm getting ahead of myself here - then the chances of "Valerie" getting released doubled). This is another factor that can help. It's a point we need to get across to Warner Bros.

I think Valerie / Valerie's Family / The Hogan Family should divinity air on TV Land insead of Nick @ Nite. Nick @ Nite doesn't air shows all that long and if Valerie / Valerie's Family / The Hogan Family aired on Nick @ Nite I don't think it would last that long. But if TV Land decided to put Valerie / Valerie's Family / The Hogan Family on their schedule, most likely it would be on there for a long time. It would probably air weekdays in the afternoon for an hour. That would be 2 episodes a day. I hope TV Land will decide to air Valerie / Valerie's Family / The Hogan Family on their schedule. Also, I hope that Warner Brothers will decide to release Valerie / Valerie's Family / The Hogan Family on DVD in season sets.

Thanks for letting us know Warner Brothers e-mail address. Fans of Valerie / Valerie's Family / The Hogan Family can either mail Warner Brothers a letter and/or e-mail Warner Brothers requesting for them to put this show on DVD in season sets. I just thought of something that Warner Brothers should do if they do decide to release this show on DVD. I was thinking that Warner Brothers should release the first and second seasons of Valerie together on DVD since Valerie Harper was only on the first two seasons. The first season of Valerie only had 10 episodes so I would think the studio might put the first and second seasons together on DVD since they were with Valerie Harper. When the third season began, Sandy Duncan replaced Valerie Harper and the show was renamed Valerie's Family. A year later when the fourth season began, the show was renamed The Hogan Family. Altogether this show was on for six seasons. If Warner Brothers decides to release this show on DVD in season sets, they should use each title name and use it for that season. Here's examples:
Valerie - The Complete First & Second Seasons
Valerie's Family - The Complete Third Season
The Hogan Family - The Complete Fourth Season
The Hogan Family - The Complete Fifth Season
The Hogan Family - The Complete Sixth Season
