"The Visitor" episode...

When TVLand first aired this episode a few times, they had a scene where JJ comments abt having to go to the gas station to use the bathroom. He then states "we'll only be able to go on odd number days"...the audience then roars in laughter for a few moments.

However, last night when they showed this episode, TVLand completely cut out the part where JJ says the thing abt odd number days. He only said the part abt going to the gas station to use the bathroom. I wonder why they decided to cut that part of the dialogue out? Do you think they are going to show previously deleted scenes and now cut out previously SEEN scenes?

I was annoyed with the actor playing the housing authority person. He was milking the audience for more laughs when he came into the Evans' apt and was overdoing it with that "huffing and puffing" after having climbed 17 stories. It made me want to just slap the t.v.:lol:

Yeah he was looking kind of wild when he was out of breath-lol I do think he overdid a little though.

Because a huge number of TVLand viewers don't have a clue of what he meant with the "odd numbers" reference. In all honesty it went over my head when I saw that episode recently until I sat and remembered about the gas shortage when I was a kid. Ya don't want to slow don't the pace of a show with an extremely foreign reference.

There are soooo many and too many references to the seventies that would generate the same thing you imply, but they couldn't delete them or there would be no series. I am glad for your input, but I don't think that may be the answer. The reason being, that scene had been shown before on TVLand, and now it got cut out. That's weird to me.

To be honest, I never remember that scene being in there to begin with.
