I would like all posters to please help me out. I want to get new or used original DVD copies with the book of the episodes of the shows in it, not dubs. Just like the DVD's you get from www.amazon.com and the video stores of the following right now before Christmas or after new years: all 5 seasons of the Dukes of Hazzard, seasons 7, 8, and 9 of MASH, Season 3 of Taxi, seasons 2, 3, and 4 and 5 of All in the family, All 4 seasons of the Brady Bunch, Charlie's Angels seasons 1 and 2, Adam 12 and Dragnet season 1 , Bewitched seasons 1 and 2 COLOR, Cheers seasons 1-7, Dallas Seasons 2 and 3, Hunter season 1, 2 and 3, Knight Rider season 1 and 2, Mary Tyler Moore Show seasons 1, 2 and 3, Three's Company seasons 2-5, all seasons of Wonder Woman. The reason is that I really want some of these DVD's for Christmas but our family budget is very low and tight and I can't get some of the DVD's I really want to have for Christmas. If you are willing to help me out and buy and send me DVD used or new copies of the shows, please e-mail me or PM me. Once you agree to help me with this you have to accept this provision, I cannot pay you any money for the costs of the DVD's, S and H, etc. You have to send it for free.
Thanks for reading and please let me know about this.

I think I speak for all others when I say that you should offer something in return. Do you have anything else to trade? I really can't part with any of my DVDs, and I'm not going to, sorry, but you have to offer some kind of compensation to anyone who helps you out. It don't work that way, man, no one is going to work hard for their money, buy things for themselves that they earn, and then give them away to someone who just puts up a thread saying he wants some DVDs for free. And all your demands? I could do that, as could anyone here, and I guarantee you, no one is going to offer you anything unless you change some of your strict rules (come on, if someone was willing to give you the discs, ain't that good enough?) and you offer compensation.

I like to help out the needy, but you can't ask for things, you have to earn them, and that could be in non-monetary ways.

Happy holidays though, and I'm sure you'll get enough money to get your collection started soon enough. Hey, I'm working with a limited amount of money, as we all are, and don't have anywhere NEAR enough money to get all the discs I want right now, but give it time, as I am, and you will be rewarded tenfold. Trust me. You, as I, waiting for my gifts, and I don't want any dupes, have to mull it out till the holidays are over. Things will pick up for you, somehow, but this isn't the way to do things.

BUT, Change your terms and I know that some of these great people will be willing to help you out.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!

Wow, actually re-reading this, I'm really pissed off. YOU SAID YOU NEED ALL POSTERS TO HELP YOU OUT, HOW MUCH NERVE CAN YOU HAVE? YOU ARE TALKING LIKE YOU NEED THEM FOR A CHARITY OR SOMETHING, IN THAT CASE, I PROBABLY WOULD HELP OUT, BUT THE CHARITY IS "I CAN'T GET DVDS SO YOU'RE GETTING THEM FOR ME"? What nerve?

I'm really aggravated, and would really appreciate it if this thread was shut down. Julius, I agree with troop, the best gift is your family, not somethings that might be nice to have, but in the longrun, mean nothing. You need your priorities straight, man. This is a complete outrage to me. Again, all of us can't get some DVDs every once in a while when money's tight, but we're not destitute, thank God, and we all get through those times. You will too, trust me, as will I once my shopping days are long gone for Christmas, but until then, stick with the ones you got. Every time I look around another DVD is coming that I want, and I can't get all of them because I'm still getting the ones that have already been issued, so I wait, and with time, it all falls into place, and I have all of those once new, now old, releases in my collection. The cycle keeps on going so, and until DVDs are no longer being issued, that cycle will go on, and finally I'll catch up with all the releases I want or once wanted. Point of the matter is that I don't go begging for those releases on a message board saying I NEED EVERYONE TO GET ME THIS DVD, THAT DVD, OH YEAH, AND THAT ONE TOO, I stick it out. If it was that easy, Julius, we all would be doing the same thing you are doing right now. All's we are doing here is talking about our favorite DVDs, not telling everyone to buy any DVDs for us when we got no money. We gotta earn that money and buy the DVDs for ourselves. Eventually, we will all have our faves in our collections, OK? Please erase this thread.

There's no need to get pissed off reading Julius' post. I actually got a laugh out of it, thinking that he actually believed people would go for this. To Julius: You're posting on the wrong site. Santa Claus' message board is that way ===============>

It's a pretty sick thing to do though, but you're right, it is funny.

Just a quick question for julius... If your family is low on money right now then why did you just add some dvd's to your list on the official tv-dvd list thread?... And If your family is low on money I wouldn't be worried about getting your favorite dvd's, I would be worried about keeping my house warm or making sure I got something to eat... I think you are a little greedy, lol...

For anyone who feels they want to help Julius out, I'll lock but won't delete the thread. The info is there in the first post if you choose to take him up on his request. For anyone aggravated by this or any thread to the point of wanting it "erased", for future reference try using the "Report Post" button.
