You all want to no something, i think that paramount pictures is the blame for season one of happy days not being so sucessful, if you want to no my input, i think that they should had commercially advertize the product so that fans can go out and buy it, maybe if they would have done that we might have seen season 2 by now, look at the jerry seinfeld show for example they already have seasons out, that is what make me sick about companies who owns classic tv shows, they do not put them out for fans to see, the only time i found out about happy days season one was when i saw it posted up on the website and let me tell you all this, if paramount does not get season 2 out or at least try to advertize it, they are going to be in so much of trouble with there sells and the fans who are buying there product, i just got three words for paramount televisions, get it together

The reason for weak sales is that it is still on television in reruns. It's still popular enough to be aired.
If it went off the air sales would soar.
Supply and demand.

there are so many shows that are into there 8th and 9th seasons on dvd and those shows are all still on.the happy days thing is about the first season having only 16 episodes and as much as season one is liked the series was more popular after the third season.and the whole paramount lack of support
and that includes promotion.thats why sales were weak.

I'd like to see Happy Days put uncut episodes on DVD. The episodes on WGN and TV Land are butchered!

well, Happy Days airs at 4 am on TV Land, the shows like Sanford And Son, All In The Family and What's Happening that air in the prime-time hours have all done extremely well on DVD, with 2 of those 3 shows completed on DVD, so explain that. I doubt that many people stay up till 4 am to watch Happy Days reruns.
