The Deacon, Inga and the pool

Hey all, I've been wracking my brain trying to remember this episode title and the other story lines going on during it. Inga wants to be baptized into the church, but is afraid to have her head dunked under water. The deacon helps her get over her fear by having her practice in the church's day care center pool. The deacon falls into the pool and someone comes in that he doesn't want seeing him in the pool so he and Inga keep bobbing under water. Who were they hiding from? What was the title of the episode? Any info will help my sanity!

Thanks...I was thinking it might be same one where the Rev. is sick and the Deacon takes over the church. TV One did something screwy with the schedule during that span of episodes and I never saw that one. Thanks for checking it out for me!

i never liked that episode at all mean who want see some old lady in the pool just i know that episode was not one of the best or mabye it just me

I agree, it wasn't the best episode...the scene just stuck in my head and I couldn't remember what was going on in the rest of the episode.

Hey All, TV One was doing funny things with the schedule again (airing episodes from season 3 during the episodes from season 4) and I caught the episode with Inga and the Deacon in the pool. It's called The Rev. Ernest Frye and it is the one where Rev. Gregory is sick with measels and Thelma takes care of him. My crazy mind can rest now!

TV ONE has aired Amen in Order at 6:30pm. Season 3 just started Tonight at 6:30pm

No they haven't aired many of the episodes in order. They were doing good up until season 3 I believe and then they started to skip episodes. They totally skipped the Christmas episode about the Deacon and his donkey, they aired the Match Making episode out of order also, and like someone said they just aired the episode when the Deacon and Inga were in the pool and that's like from season 2.

The episode with Inga and Deacon in the Pool is from season 3. And it sounds like you follow Amen in the morning rather than the evening. Trust me if you follow Amen in the evening you will see all the eps are order. By the way, for those of you who follow Amen in the evening, the episode-"The Reverend Ernest Frye" comes on Tuesday, December 20, 2005
