Why do most of her songs have the same slow beginning? Most of her songs begin with a brief slow dance sound, before going directly into a fast disco beat. Her duet with Barbra Striesand"No More Tears(Enough Is Enough) is no exception.

Though it seems with the latter, they start the song off in Barbra Streisand's style, then go into Donna Summer's style.

That's her style I guess.

Barry Manilow does the same thing. Almost all of his songs are ballads that start quietly, then reach a high-volume crescendo toward the end.

The reason that song starts out like that is because at that time, Barbara had an album out, it was called "Wet". Well, every song on her album had to do with rain, water, tears, etc. So, when they wanted to put Enough is Enough on the album, they had to add the beginning of the song "No more tears" so it could be incorporated into her album and stay with the theme of "rain, tears, wet" etc.

Wet
Come Rain Or Come Shine
Splish Splash
On Rainy Afternoons
After The Rain
No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)
Niagara
I Ain't Gonna Cry Tonight
Kiss Me In The Rain
