View Full Version : Why is Chris Mann no longer involved with the DVDs of THREE'S COMPANY?

Hello all,

I noticed that with the new set of Three's Company, Season 5, that Chris Mann is not involved with the release. Usually he does the write up on the jacket and does a commentary or two. I'm assuming (I hope incorrectly) that he's no longer involved. What I would like to know is why that is. I hope it's not for good. While he may not have been a cast member or anything, I do consider him an authority on the show. I believe his extensive research into his great book and the subsequent specials (which borrowed from his research, even though he wasn't always properly credited) have contributed greatly to the public's revived focus on the show. It'd be a pity if he were suddenly dropped for some reason. Anyone got info?

I really enjoyed his commentaries. I hope that he is still involved with the DVD sets--I was really looking forward to his commentary for "Up In The Air".

Sorry for bringing this up again, but I wasn't aware that it had been. I did check out the link and it told me no more than I already know. I have the sneaking suspicion that he's being screwed out of something... again. It's too bad. The guy has done a lot for the fandom of Three's Company, and has tried to do much more, but is always getting sidelined by people in higher power Hollywood-wise. Oh well.

Chris, if you're out there, know that there are those of us who appreciate you and all that you've done for the show's fandom. There isn't enough that we could do that could match your contribution to the show's legacy. We should be kissing your feet for all that you've done. Thanks so much and know that your commentaries and insights on the DVD sets (both vocal and written) are indeed missed.

And Pav, I also include you in on that too. You're just as awesome as Chris and just as worthy of having fandom's gratitude. Thanks for all you've done as well! :)
