Pray for Molly

Our dog Molly -a maltese- whos 4 has been really sick. My Dads friend gave her to us last year because they were moving and shes not doing well. When she was a puppy she had a heart transplant, and she has her good weeks and her bad weeks. This is the worst shes ever been- shes been like this about a week now. Her legs are all stiff and she cant really walk too well now, because shes been laying down so much they hurt. She just doesnt look good. My parents are taking her to the vet right now and my Dad had me give her a kiss goodbye 'just in case'. I dont want to see her suffer, but shes so young and I just want them to figure out whats wrong with her so she can be healthy. :crying:

My Dad just called the vet and he said 4pm :crying: He said he wants the vet to look him over one more time, but he doubts itll do anything. I lasted about 90 min. at work before I asked to go home because I kept tearing up and my Dad came home early too to take care of her.

I was gone at a friends all weekend pretty upset because I knew what was going to happen, but my Dad said about 2 hours before he was gonna take her to the vet, she started barking and looking a bit better. So he brought her down anyways and the vet thinks she had a stroke. When I got home tonight I was already prepared for the worst but I opened up my bedroom door and heard barks and I threw all my stuff down and ran into the parlor and there she was :D. The vet thinks she had a stroke, but she is doing a bit better. AHHH IM SO HAPPY. I want to thank everyone for the prayers and thoughts :biglove: :bighug:

Molly died sometime this morning in her sleep. Last night before 11, she was in the parlor with my mother when she fell off the couch. Since then she couldnt walk right, and I just figured she was sore- she was doing so good recently! Then as the night progressed she kept waking me up with her wheezing and coughing. I got up and checked up on her twice and she was out of her bed laying down, once with her tail wagging. I had thought she had caught a cold or something. The last time I heard her was around 5:30 am so she died recently :(. My mother thinks its her fault because she couldnt catch her as she was falling. My dad thinks the reason why she fell was because she had another stroke. Im very sad, but I think Im more calm about it because she died on her own and wasnt put down. She was still only 4 though :crying:

Thats what I was thinking. Because that weekend she was supposed to be put down, I went down to my friends all weekend for a concert and to visit. I got a good week out of her and was able to spend more time so I dont feel as guilty. Its still sad though knowing she died in so much pain because I heard her all night breathing heavy.

Crystal, I don't know what else to tell you that hasn't already been said. I know what it's like to lose a pet and I am so sorry about Molly's passing. This might not be much comfort but now she is out of pain. Just never forget the short time you had with her.;)

I'm so sorry to read about about Molly and she was only four. Poor pup went thru so much. I've been thru this numerous times with my 'babies'. It does hurt and I think about them alot.
