LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) Joey Tribbiani's past is coming back to haunt him -- and not in a "Friend"-ly way -- during sweeps.
Ellen DeGeneres will guest on the Nov. 10 episode of "Joey" to help the lovable lug (Matt LeBlanc) sort out an ugly situation involving an old girlfriend. Whether the jilted lover is one of Joey's numerous "Friends" conquests, or someone else, NBC isn't saying.

DeGeneres, whose last sitcom appearance was on "The Bernie Mac Show" in early 2004, is one of a host of guest stars peppered across the NBC schedule for sweeps. As usual, "Joey's" Thursday-night companion "Will & Grace" will feature a number of big names, including return engagements by Harry Connick Jr. and Debbie Reynolds, and Dean Cain will pop up on two shows: "Las Vegas" and "Law & Order: SVU."

In the "Joey" episode, an old girlfriend still riled over a years-past incident threatens to go public with some embarrassing videotape of Joey just after he's received his big break. To keep the tape from being revealed, he agrees to apologize to her during an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

That same night on "Will & Grace," Connick will reprise his role as Grace's (Debra Messing) ex, Leo, whom Grace and Will (Eric McCormack) spot on a flight to London. Will has to charm a couple of flight attendants so Grace can sneak into first class and speak to her former husband.

Reynolds, meanwhile, returns on Thanksgiving as Grace's overly critical mother. Jack (Sean Hayes) offers to prepare Grace for her mom's visit by hurling a nonstop stream of insults at her.

Cain's "SVU" appearance will continue a string of bad-guy roles he's played in recent years, most notably Scott Peterson in the USA movie "The Perfect Husband." In the episode, set for Tuesday, Nov. 15, he'll play the suspect in a series of rapes linked to a speed-dating service. On Nov. 28, he returns to "Las Vegas" as Sam's (Vanessa Marcil) husband.
