The Charmed Ones are given their first Homeland Security case by Agent Murphy (guest star Brandon Quinn) going through cold case files. Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) and Billie (Kaley Cuoco) discover a belt in one file that gives Billie superpowers. Her new power begins turning the sexes on one another, so a power-hungry female demon decides to use Billie to achieve female domination. Meanwhile, Piper (Holly Marie Combs) and Leo (Brian Krause) search for a band to play at the club and sparks fly between Paige (Rose McGowen) and her new charge's parole officer, Henry (Ivan Sergei).

Is it me, or does Agent Murphy look an awful lot like older Wyatt?

The fast national ratings are out (remember these are not the final number) and Charmed's November 13th 2005 episode (8th episode of the season), Battle of the Hexes, pulled in a rating of 2.6/4 which translated for us normal folk means about 4,408,556 U.S. households tuned in to watch. I'll update you with the final numbers when/if they become available.

They're here... the final ratings for Sunday, November 13. The 'Battle of the Hexes' pulled in the best ratings of the season, averaging 4,380,000 viewers for the hour. I hope this trend keeps up and next week's episode won't lose any viewers again, but great rebound, don't you think? I really thought Charmed wouldn't jump the 4 mil. hurdle anymore after we went back under it with "The Lost Picture Show".

I don't see a chance of it. The ratings are good enough for a season 9, but I doubt the WB will spend the money on another season.

Do you think we might have a spinoff with some of the people (that are cheaper) returning ?
Also, being that they already canceled 7th Heaven, the WB would be canceling 2 of their top 5 series.

I'm not really sure, its a possibility.

I thought it was confirmed that Charmed wasn't returning for another season?

It has been much speculated that the 8th season would be the last. However, an official announcement has never been made. The WB announced last week that 7th Heaven's season will be it last. I would think with a long running show like this they would want to announce before the end of the season if it were its last. They might get better ratings that way.

Actually, I am fairly sure season 8 is the last. Holly has said that season 8 is the last for her, so I doubt the show would continue without her.
