I am SHOCKED. I LOVE that show. I love Lu, Lona and even the cute doctor, Dr. West. I can't believe it. That's the only show I know of that is good on Lifetime to watch on sunday nights and in the evening everyday. I'm going to miss it so much.

As sad as I am, we all knew this was coming. Lifetime has a tendency to end shows when they're going really well. I thought last season was the last one- especially since Andy left. And when I found out there was a new season, I was really shocked and really, really happy. But...wow. I can't believe it's really going to end. I still think there's a lot of things the show hasn't done with the characters that it could do in the seventh season. Lu and her baby- how she manages being both a mom and a doctor again. Lana maybe finding the love of her life or reconnecting with her sons. Peter and Kayla possibly getting engaged. Dylan and his daughter finally becoming a real father and a daughter team. I'm really going to miss Strong Medicine. It's been such a good show and it's been getting even better. AH! My Sunday nights will no longer be the same. :-(

Yeah I agree with you on everything that could happen for the seventh season that's what I wanted to happen in the next season. I just hope Lu has her baby which I'm sure she will sometime soon.

After I was shocked over the news I knew that Lifetime cancels all the great shows when they are just getting really good, so I blame Lifetime for the cancelling the show no one else. But I just hope that it was worth it to cancel it.

I don't want it to end. What is happening in the world today. They take off good shows and leave on the bad ones. I read somewhere on the internet when Patricia left to do the west wing that if the WW doesn't work out for her or if Alan's character doesn't win to be President that she would likely come back to strong medicine. If that was true, well then, she would likely look for another job. But I hope they all are looking for new jobs. ALL of them are so talented actors.

I don't know how many are left for this season but I'm going to tape them. I tape this season but only a few because I was away a few times.

there are actually only 6 episodes left. There is no new episodes until December 11th and then it takes a break again until January 8th that's when the final 5 episodes will air the season ends in February I think the 8th but I can't be sure.

I just heard about this a couple days ago. It's awful! SM is one of the only new shows I actually watch regularly. But we do have some episodes left, so I'm sure they'll try and tie up loose ends before it goes off.

 ONLY SIX EPISODES?! I keep forgetting SM usually ends in Februrary or so. But only six?! NO! That's not fair! :(

And I agree with everyone. I don't understand why they take the best shows off and leave the crappiest ones. Are they just crossing their fingers and praying that ratings will go up?

I do agree with some of what you're saying...I'm going to miss this show to death. But in some respects I knew this would be the last season, I just had that feeling but was hoping for a 7th. I think the show is ready to bow out gracefully...I'd rather a show end on a good, high note rather then be dragged out...this season was awesome and proved that even after 5 successful seasons it can still deliver. I'm sure most people read this, but this is the post from Rosa after it was announced that SM was cancelled:

Friday, October 28, 2005

Greetings from Rosa :)
Remember my post about Cristina Applegate finding out "Married With Children" was cancelled (after putting FOX television on the map, and working 10 seasons) by hearing it on the RADIO??? Hmmm....smells familiar huh?
I found out, hours before it went to press today. Unfortunately, the crew who has worked here for 6 years found out the same way everyone else did. By reading it. THAT is what sucks.
But to be honest, I was not under contract after this year, and was very much looking forward to the "what's next?" stage in my career. It's just time for me. I was hoping the series would be picked up, and I would have LOVED to have guest starred next season, but it is all good. I am really excited to do other projects and I celebrate these years on the show. The show was amazing, the enviorment on set, the people, births, marriages, friendships, even death. We will always be a special family. And people felt it too! Guest stars, or people who would work only one day would comment "what a warm and great set it was."
I heard a great rumor just yesterday as well! Supposedly, they are working on releasing a DVD of the different seasons. I know it is not "confirmed", but I hope it happens before my parents get buried under a mountain of VHS tapes.
I won't leave you hanging, before the season finale airs, I will direct you to where to find my updates etc. on what is going on. Try and have a good day! I am. I even baked the crew "chocolate-chip-banana-cancelled-muffins :)
Love,
Rosa

So honestly, I think she kinda of thought it was a good, positive thing, well for her anyway. I also get the feeling that Lifetime knew Rosa probably was not going to continue with the show once her contract was up at the end of this year. Let's face it, without Lu or Rosa you don't really have the same SM anymore? I mean how would that even work out? So, like I said I'd rather have them bow out gracefully then trying to go on with the show with out Lu, the main character...it just wouldn't have worked. I'm looking forward to continue to watch and support these fine actors in their future projects, they're all amwazingly talented! :D
