Last Friday, a figure from my past reappeared. It was on a rerun of Unsolved Mysteries. As a child this man, only seen in a composite drawing scarred the crap out of me. He was a brazen abducter of children. Described as a white male in his 20's, with long blondish hair, the thing about him that stood out the most was his beady eyes. The segment that aired during the day last Friday was the one where the two girls ride their scooters to the store. When they exit, one scooter has been moved. When the little girl goes to pick it up, the beady-eyed man jumps out of his car and grabs her. I also remember him driving an older limegreen car. In another story involving him that I barely remember, he rode off with a girl, older than the scooter girl, on a motorcycle. I think I remember another one where he grabbed the child from her backyard. Unsolved Mysteries never made the connection between the cases, but it was obviously the same guy. Does anyone have any information on this suspect or any of the cases. I would appreciate the information. I hope this SOB has been caught.

That case was discussed in a recent thread. The kidnapped girl was Michaela Garecht. She has never been found; her kidnapper remains unidentified.

Michaela was focused in two UM segments. First in 1989, and second in 2002. The 2002 segment was about Amber Swartz, who was abducted in June of 1988. Michaela was mentioned in that segment since Amber Swartz's disappearance was believed to be connected to a series of mysterious California abductions that occured during the late '80s.

gawd, those composite sketches always look scary. it's almost as if the fact that the people are wanted for crimes causes the artist to make them look creepy. or maybe only creepy-looking people commit crimes ;p
