Problem on a trade with SUE MAPLES read and advise?

OK well Where to start, about 3 or 4 months ago, SUE MAPLES the infamous one from all the bad posts emailed me and said that it was not really her that got the bad posts, but her soon to be ex sis in law, and this and that---- long and drawn out story----
ok we set up a swap, but i told her ONLY if she sent first, and i checked em out first then i woudl send


swap was DIFFRENT STROKES complete, CLUELESS the series complete, and a few odds and ins, like 4 discs of partial eps
then id send her BJ AND BEAR, ARHCHIE BUNKERS PLACE and some MAMAS FAMILY eps

ok well about a month or so went by, and finally i got a box, BUT about 50-60 % of hte discs DID NOT WORK, they were either, CORRUPT and wouldnt load, or they had JUST TITLES on them, but no data, and it was a total mess
over 1/2 of them wouldnt even load or read! I didnt even bother to check out quality and completeness of the others as i was so ticked off-- i mean bad burns happen, but 1/2 of them????/

so i emailed her and she said she would fix them at once, another month later i got SOME OF THE DISCS redone, but not all---- ok i just tossed them in the box with the bad ones and waited for the rest.... a week or 2 later, she emails me asking me AGAIN what eps are supposed to be on the bad discs, so once again i send her the list

weeks later.... no email replies, as she has a virus or some other computer problem she says, finaly today i get another package-- i check the discs and notice that 2 are STILL CORRUPT WONT LOAD AT ALL, and u can look at the burned side and tell it is a bad discs, she didnt even check them AGAIN!

ALSO she told me 1/2 way through the trade that STROKES was actually not complete, but missing some eps, I said ok, jsut so its decent set!

AND i decided to go ahead and check the quality, well CLUELESS is decent and useable, DIFFRENT STROKES is reallll bad, 5 or so of 10 some might call it a weak 6, some eps are even worse, below a 5, BUT NOT the 7 - 7.5 described, it looks like 5th generation vhs tapes, a mess!

I KNOW ANOTHER GOOD TRADER ON THIS SITE got the same set, and i wont name them, but they know the DIFFRENT STROKES was bad also!

So now, what do i do, i would like to keep CLUELESS but its taken months, and now MORE strokes are still bad, and i didnt even check all of them yet to see how many more are corrupt! Should i send STROKES BACK and trade even # of discs for clueless?

I know she is on the baddest of the bad traders list, but i still want to be fair here--- it is just this is the 3rd package on 1 trade and its in the 4th month now, and STILL NOT DONE!!

That would be my suggestion. And tell her the deal is done & over with. (IOW not to send you anything more & she will not receive anything more...since it's taken so long & multiple shipments...)

Send them all back and move on, it's not worth the hassel or grief to make it right. Mail her her stuff back, you did nothing wrong you are out sometime and a little for the postage. God Bless

once again the rule about the unknown trader sending first has proven a good plan

she claims to not be the notorious scammer and poor trader that shes blamed to be

i seriously dont care if she was or not,

the fact remains that she has proven to be a poor trader on this name, and should be avoided--even if she is or isnt the person with all the negative comments

i gave her every chance to make a decent swap, and she failed, and then failed with rob as well.

there are plenty of decent folks to swap with, this one is just a waste of effort to even try

Yup, sounds like Pam Maples. She tells a long story and works hard at confusing her victims.

Yes! Keep them, and send her the exact number of discs of Clueless only! Get something out of the deal, instead of plain aggravation from all of her lies.

i paid to send her items back, but i did use a few discs, that were fillers for a set--they were decent, so i sent back her stuff, plus far more discs than i owed her for the partials trade

but had there not been something to use, i would not have paid the return postage

i have a few times had things that were not as promised--incomplete--poor quality--etc, that i ahve just emailed and said

heres the reason its not as promised

and if you want it back, send me the $ 4.30 postage and illr eturn it

or it goes in the trash

thats not very popular, and i only do it in the case of utter lack of things being correct and not being able to be fixed


in this case, the different strokes couldnt be fixed, no matter what

Well i emailed SUE MAPLES about the problems and she got an attitude with me

NO SUE-- my equipment is fine, I OFFERED TO SEND THESE stacks of bad discs to one of the moderators if she wanted, so they could verify that the stuff just doesnt work at all!!!!
As for the quality-- PERHAPS LOREN and COLLINWOOD would like to comment on the great, 7.5 of 10 STROKES set that we were all sent????????

I didnt bother to check them for quality or against an episode guide until i got the rest of them, b/c it is a waste of time, since 1/2 didnt work and i had no idea if she would ever send the rest or not, so i checked em when i got the redos,

You know, after that, I'd just send her the number of discs for CLUELESS and return all her other crap she sent you (or as much as will fit in a USPS Tyvek envelope that ships Priority Mail w/delivery confirmation for $3.85 - therefore costing you no more in postage than what you're already going to send) & just tell her it's a done deal. You have lots of positive feedback here recently & so IMO, it's not going to hurt you one bit, especially since she's already on the bad trader list. I've never dealt with her, but based upon what's already been posted in at least two trading communitiies, you're just never going to get any further with this gal. JMO.

She was banned for having the same IP address and mailing address as the most notorious bad trader around Pam Maples. This reaction is typical of her trying to squirm out of a bad situation.

You are not the bad guy here, and you are not beating a dead horse. You entered a trade trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. Well, now you know that all that many of us have tried to tell you about her is correct. Live and learn.

Maybe her television screen is only 4 inches across - a 5 would look pretty good under those conditions.

I'd keep the discs you can use, provide something in return for those, and send the rest back. At that point, you've met any obligation you could conceivably have in the situation, and the deal is done, done, done and she'll have no grounds for anything further.

Lying is a ploy she uses to cover up more lies. Two years ago she told me that she and her husband William Maples traded videos when they were together. She'd supposedly left him and was trying to make a decent reputation in her own name despite William's bad reputation. She'd tell me, "I can't believe I'm telling you, a complete stranger, etc. etc." Her emails were very VERY long, and it did seem to me unbelievable that she couldn't be telling the truth, since her stories were so long. She's very manipulative, to say the least.

she also contacted me about 2 months ago, maybe a month and a half, wanting a couple discs from me. she told me that she preferred to send first and blah blah blah, and that she wasn't the bad trader, it was whoever, her sister in law or something stupid, blah blah blah. she said she would send a few discs at a time. she has told me a couple lies since then, so i finally told her to keep her discs if she hasn't sent them yet, that i don't even want to bother with the stupid crap.

She was suppose to send me a set of So Weird about 5 or 6 months ago and I been waiting since then and recieved nothing. We made a trade and agreed she'd send first. I burnt her discs and set them here where they been collecting dust since. Well anyway she said she sent a set yet I never got it so she sadi she'd send a second set. Ive really been wanting that set and its been weeks since she promised againa nd nothing. S o I agree with the accusations. If I receive the eps. I made the deal for Ill take back my comments and apologize but until then Im on the peoples side here. Between her and bynon Im just getting scrwed sideways on this site. Jim

some of the discs i got from sue maples had titles but when u tried to play them u Got NO DATA errors
this was like 50 % of them
they had menus, but nothing on them
and the ones that did were dirt poor quality
i followed the advice of others and i am doing what is fair in the situation, but i wont ever ever trade with her again, or her mysterious sister in law, that she swears is really really really not her

but i guess not....

As for Sue Maples, Ill never get the eps. of So Weird I really rally wanted. She promised and promised and wont ever send them. Also she wont answer emails. And as for the wolf11 (bynon) trade I still plan on going down there and confronting him. I mean I had his discs in no time and I cant even get him to answer a email or send me the stuff ive waited months for. Its ridiculous and after I get the few trades I need to finish and send out Im thinking about giving up on trading all together. I have never been so disappointed in something in my life. Ive been cheated out of about $160 and about 70 discs in just a few months and thats just unexceptable. When was the last time you talked to wolf11? Let me know. Thanks. Jim

Well I can promise you wolf11 has not sent me the 44 discs he owes me. Ive waited for like i said 4 or 5 months maybe longer and not received one dvd from him. I sent him his along time ago so he has no reason not to send mine.
And even though your right about sue maples I still really want the set. Do you know anyone with the set of So Weird. I really would like it. Let me know. Jim
