Bea Arthur in the movie Mame

I checked out the movie Mame (which is a musical!) from the library. It has Bea and Lucille Ball. I know Bea hates this movie. I liked her black wig in the movie. I don't think it was her real hair. The movie wasn't bad, but it didn't seem like it was really Bea material or even material for Lucy, or at least for Lucy at an older age.

yes bea does hate that she did that movie, but gene saks (the director) was her husband at the time, and he figured as his wife, she should have done that for him. bea, never one to argue that much with him, gave in. they were divorced not long afterwards...:( that is a wig in the movie, but that was her real dark hair in the play version.
