Darlene is cool, attitude wise, but Becky was a turn-on, without a doubt.

Lecy looked great when she returned for season 8 with longer hair. Then she went and cut her hair short again a few episodes after she came back. Too bad.

Lacy was the best. She was the cutest gal on there, though I didn't care for her short hair in later episodes. Also her character was the most fiery of the 3, so that tops my list too.

I'd have to agree with some other posters on here who said that Sarah Chalke was a major hottie. She had the looks, plus that voice was one of those voices that sounds so full of unconditional love. The voice didn't fit the rest of the Roseanne cast (too loving-sounding), but she was good nonetheless.

The only thing was when they started playing "musical Beckys" in the end of the eighth season, showing Lecy Goranson in one episode, Sarah Chalke in the next, etc.

I like Lecy better than Sarah. Sure Sarah sounded "loving" but she was an idiot on the show! I don't know how men can find idiots attractive. (P.S. I am a woman, who is A LOT younger than 40. lol)

I can't stand the character of Darlene. She's such a smart mouthed, disrespectful brat. I don't like the little boy, either. I can't fathom ever talking to my parents like they do and live to tell about it! Becky was sort of typically rebellious, but I can't
remember her being blatently disrespectful to either parent. :smash:

As far as the actors who portray them -- Sara Gilbert is just downright ugly! Her mouth looks deformed. Lecy Goransen and Sarah Chalke were both pretty. The little boy - Michael Fishman, I think - was just so, so. Not much to write home about, IMO. None of the actors on the series were very attractive, though. :mooner:

Are you serious? I'd say Becky was probably the most disrespectful. All three kids had their share of disrespect, but I think Becky was the worst. She was pretty bad with her attitude around the time she left and moved in with Jackie.

I think the fact that the cast of Roseanne didn't look 'Hollywood' beautiful only added to the show's realism.
Nobody on that show was ugly, but the majority were average looking people, and I think that was by design. As we grew to know their characters, they became more attractive, to me anyway. That happens in our own lives as well.
We weren't watching Melrose Place or a soap opera where everyone is perfect looking, and I'm glad about that.
Roseanne is one of the most realistic shows I've ever seen. There are weight and hair issues, family disputes, and other dilemmas as well as emotional baggage issues--just like real life.
It's a glimpse into an American working class family--a realistic slice of life of a flawed but loving family.

Well, that's your opinion. I personally don't find her to be ugly. As Janice said, the majority of the people on the show were average looking, and I think Sara was one of them.

I don't find Sara Gilbert attractive, but different strokes, etc. Lecy Goranson is attractive, but I'd hesitate to call her 'beautiful'. Sarah Chalke was conventionally beautiful and very good looking, more so than the rest of the cast. I guess that's another hint towards Roseanne losing it's 'real' edge.

I don't think anyone on the show was supposed to be beautiful. Just normal folk. I think Sara Gilbert was pretty enough. She had that gorgeous curly hair, green eyes and that Victorian pink and white skin. I definately don't think she's ugly by any means. Lecy and Sarah both had that blonde hair, blue-eyed prettiness, although Sarah Chalke was more typically beautiful overall.

Lecy Goranson was kind of pretty when she was older, however i thought the short hair looked TERRIBLE! She probably looked the best in season eight. However, I do think that Sarah Chalke was REALLY BEAUTIFUL. She had great hair, a great body, and her voice was great. I did think Lecy was a better character in the show (except for looking at Sarah :bighug: ) She fit in much better with the rest of the family. She was mean and rude (at times) her voice made her sound mean, not loved. I think Becky1 would be better with Mark than Becky2, who I think would be better with David. Darlene belongs with Mark (if he were ALOT smarter) but personality wise, they were better together. Lecy was also better with the family, because none of the characters on Roseanne were that great looking anyway. Overall, I think Becky1 is a better character, Becky2 is prettier, nicer, and a misfit. Darlene was pretty and ugly. She looks good in the season eight opener and bad in the season nine opener, but other than that, i really dont have an opinion on her. DJ was cute in the first season, but twoards the end he looked like he fit in with the family more. Dan looks pretty much the same throughout the whole series (with the exception of the beggining of season eight and end of nine when he had the beard) Jackie looked good in season one, and she steadily started to look worse. I did think her hair in season nine fitted her best though. Roseanne looked really crappy for the first few seasons. I could actually bear to look at her in season six. She actually looked somewhat attractive in season seven. She looked pretty good in season eight. And is season nine, in my opinion she wasn't that attractive, but i think she looked her best, especially in the opener.

I think both Becky and Darlene were beautiful in their own ways but Becky has certainly had some pretty bad haircuts especially where she had it cut in a mushroom bob. When she had that haircut in those few episodes, she looked and acted like that dude Jonathan Brandis ( RIP) from that movie 'LadyBugs' with Rodney Dangerfield. I was beginning to wonder at that point if they were related. Their mannerisms were very similar especially when they both got mad.lol.

I think the only reason Darlene(Sarah Gilbert) got into acting was because her older sister and brother played on Little House on the Parire Melissa Gilbert and Johnathan Gilbert are Sarah Gilberts older sister and brother.

Hard to beleive Sarah is related to both of them when they do not look nothing alike.

They are adopted which explains why none of them resemble each other.
