Question about DJ (and not about lecy)

I was reading the Roseanne episode guide at tvtome.com, when I read that they recasted DJ because Sara Gilbert and Sal Barone(the original DJ) had "problems" with each other. I heard that when Sara Gilbert was first introduced to the original DJ she kicked the crap out of him! They then had to recast the part of DJ and find a kid who Sara wouldn't beat up.
That's ANOTHER five bucks you owe me now, man!
