Yes David did the right thing but just as Roseanne asked I wanna know why he waited until they broke up to come to them about her trying these drugs. He said he didn't because he was there to take care of her but I think it was to just keep her away from school and that Jimmy guy she chose over him. So the way he did it and the time he chose was wrong and nothing but revenge even though he wasn't honest enough to himself or them to admit to it.
