Good Times really lacked something when they switched the opening sequence from the Chicago ghetto to those corny sequences with the actors putting on fake ass smiles and scenes from previous episodes.

Same thing the Jeffersons did after 2 seasons. I think it would have been more creative to go to different areas of chicago like three's company did when the show was on the air. TC went to the Zoo, the Pier, and other places. I would have like to see that on Good Times.

I couldn't imagine this. Considering the theme of the show they would've had to have the actors out in the streets of Chicago. Either they'd create too much of a commotion or they'd be too scared to do it. On 3's Company the show was light and fluffy and it was getting high ratings so it was nothing for them to empty out the park or the zoo, fill it with extras and shoot new openings. Could you just see Janet Jackson and the others filming scenes in the ghetto???

I wasn;t talking about the cast members being in the opening credits, I was saying different shots of the city each season
