Gail's band delights a children's birthday party as their first 'gig'. During the party, Danny joins the band bringing vocals and sparks an interested talent-scout from a TV show (Rock Hunt), which progresses the band to audition. A musical metamorphosis starts to take place in the band so that it leads "some" of the band members down a selfish, uncompromising path that excludes the only band member who really has the composing talent, Gail.
