Where is Ralph Carter?

The last time I saw Ralph Carter on tv was when ET aired the true hollwood story of Good Times. I mean what is he doing these days? I heard that he is gay and has aids. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

There is a Ralph Carter who lives in New York who happens to be gay and suffering from HIV; whether that is how the rumor started I don't know. This "Ralph Carter" happens to associate with gay associations. It never mentions that this Ralph Carter is THE RALPH CARTER of Good Times.

I heard the same story around 10 years ago, I even heard he was in a hospice, so I'm not sure how true this story really is.

During the early 1990s, a coworker of mine saw him on the A train once. He was very pleasant and friendly, and didn't mind chatting. He looked pretty much the same he did on the show, except that he has lost most of his hair on top.

As far as his acting career, his resume post-Good Times consists of the E! True Hollywood Story. So obviously he's not doing that anymore. I know he lived in Africa for many years after Good Times.
