You'd better! We're gonna kidnap him, force him to smoke pot, marry him off to another guy, train him for AlQuada (sp?) and send him back packed with explosive backbacon sandwiches.
(Don't worry - he'll never get through - Customs now asks all foreigners to identify the "unidentified man" in this newsclipping:)

Just as bad - Mulroney had a chin worse than Leno's, this guy is Chretien - Bush's best friend (haha). We've now moved on to Paul Martin since nobody knew who Chretien was and he wasn't fluent in either official language.

Hey Shark - if you can get it, tune into 107 on the FM dial - Q-107 - Toronto's Best Classic rock station!

Geez it's been years since I spent a day or two down there. We drove through last year on route to Barfalo, but haven't actually walked the main drag (no - NOT for THAT reason).
Is that stupid guy in the Frankenstein costume still promoting the House of Horrors? Ripley's still there? I've yet to visit the Hershey place too - the giant Kiss thingy.
Now its got me wanting to go down for a visit - always liked Queenston Heights too.
As for the strip clubs, well, let's just say I was banned. They seem to hate hecklers.....

Hey - on a bit more serious note though - don't know if you heard the news about the mall unit in Markham (a suburb of Toronto) where they found bomb making equipment, grenades and other firearms? Still waiting anxiously to hear further info - that's a very "Arab" neighbourhood.
Also, about 7 p.m. tonight, I go out to BBQ, and hear an unusual plane overhead - like what you hear at airshows. Sure enough, I look up just in time to see a F-18 Hornet go flying LOW overhead. Even when they were patrolling shortly after 9/11 I had never seen one flying that low. Maybe I'm overly paranoid, but it just seemed really strange.

The house of Frankenstein is still there, I didnt see the guy dressed up this year. There are like 6 Starbucks there, and I dont remember any of them last year. There is alot of new stuff just in the last year, let alone the last 3. Especially by the Fallsview. That seems to be the area they are building on now. Everything past Clifton hill to the east is like no mans land now.

That doesn't surprise me at all. You could tell years ago that they were spreading out that way. Probably something to do with the zoning laws as Clifton Hill is more towards Queenston Heights, the floral clock and all that "garden" type stuff. Starbucks is moving in everywhere. I still hold Timmy's dear though!
Geez. I remember that House of Frankenstein, Madame Tussaud's and Ripley's from when I was about 8 yrs old. Sat in the park across from the Falls feeding our chocolate bunnies to the squirrels on Easter. I LOVED going - back in those days, once we hit about 9 or 10, we were allowed to do the strip and Falls by OURSELVES!!! And I haven't been to the tower since I was about 12 I think the last time. Really should go down for a day.
Glad you had a safe trip home! And thanx for the pix!

I didnt hear that. I brought a Globe and Mail newspaper home with me (What kind of name is that anyhow?) I'll check in there and see if it said anything.
Also I think we need to get CTS here in the states.

I know eh? I've never quite figure that name out myself. Its the premiere "business" newspaper. They give you a freebie when you get an oil change at Mr. Lube - and a coffee! I guess it depends on what edition you might have bought. Don't know exactly when it all went down, but I heard it on the noon news.
Yeah, CTS is a good station. We've got quite a few now. I also really like CityTV - not sure if they get it in Niagara tho - its a local Toronto one. (And of course, Prime, Deja Vu and TVLand Canada.)

I got the one that came free with my room, I didnt pay for it.
Also I did see CityTV, but all I saw was the news. TVontarios kids shows scared the hell out of me, they were creepy.
Also on the Peter Jennings special they were talking about how he said things like aboot and hoose and eh, then they had a list of the american words that he had to use. And you guys say you dont talk different.

 TVOntario - the WHOLE programming scares the hell out of us!! The Polka Dot Door....
THANK YOU!!! I'm glad we've finally been able to convince someone that we don't talk differently!! If you get an accent anywhere in Canada, then it is in Quebec (obviously) and The Maritimes - Newfies are a riot - and they know it! Other than that, I can't tell much of a difference other than the "eh"? We do tend to finish our sentences (statements) as a question sometimes. And can sound like donkeys when we swear at someone (the comedian Russell Peters does a bit about that, that's a riot). You can listen to it on the net at his website Russellpeters.com

I heard it's pretty good. It was playing in Toronto too, not sure if it still is. I love dinner theatre shows. You never know who's going to pop up. Anson Williams played one in Toronto for a couple of years back in the late 80s/early 90s.

It's funny - we're the WORST ones for stereotyping Canadians. It's odd. We seem to love looking like dorks. Maybe becaues WE know we're not really that way, but we all know someone like that. ;) Just like Bob & Doug MacK!

We have to let ourselves be stereotyped, or everyone would think we were Americans , eh? ;)

Of course we get city TV...with cable, were also getting Toronto1 some indy that plays a lot of movies.on the other hand, Ive never heard of TVland Canada...maybe on the digi cable? As for the Globe and Mail, this is an amalgamation of the late Liberal paper the Globe and the Tory paper the Mail many years ago, it seems , after all these years, they are still a bit confused over which they really are
