Ventura is releasing a behind-the-scenes look at 8 classic television series, Cheers is among those shows.

Thanks for the tip, pat.

I bought the Cheers DVD from the "Inside Television's Greatest" series a few months ago, and it had the same tagline on the cover ("Your backstage pass to Television's Greatest Shows"), which makes me think they both share the same production/distribution company. Since this new DVD is a 3-disc set, I'm not sure if the one I bought is already included, so I'll watch out not to buy the same thing twice. :)

It's the same thing. This is just a compilation of DVDs already released.

How do you know?

It so happens Goldhil originally released those Inside TV's Greatest Things. This company is Ventura and doesn't have the label "Inside Television's Greatest" anyway, just a coincidence.

I'm 99% sure that its the same thing, because all those other shows listed have "Inside TV's Greatest" DVDs and/or videos out. And the "On Cheers, which actor's father was a convicted killer?" thing was a big part of the "Inside TV's Greatest" DVD.

Thanks for the info. I'll make sure of it before ordering the DVD.
