Wasn't Michael Evans the actor who played Lionel Jefferson the creator of Good Times? I wondered why he never made appearance on Good Times maybe playing a boyfriend of Thelmas when he left the Jeffersons?

His name was Mike Evans and he co-created Good Times

Yes, that's him. He was the co-creator of Good Times. One of the reasons why he left the Jeffersons.

That is incorrect, he left the Jeffersons because he was not happy with his role on the show. He felt it became too small and wanted out of the show

Here are two references that support what I stated as his reason for leaving.

Maybe there is more than one reason, but this is the only reason I came across.

I clicked on the first reference and nothing came up...bad web page perhaps. I clicked on the second reference you supplied and it only says he left to work on Good Times. It doesn't say the part was too small for him. Can more info be found for this?

I'd like to know where Solomon came up with that, because I never heard that before.
