Today,I just started to watch the first season of 227. I brought it few months ago at Best Buy.

I am quite confused about the pilot.

Sandra was seeing the landlord. Then the landlord died.

Of course, there was a reading of the will.

Sandra got a picture, which she thought she will get 227 building instead.

But, the dead landlord gave Rose the 227 building.

At the end of the pilot, it said TO BE CONTINUED.......

The next episode, #2, A Daughter Is A Precious Thing.......the dead landlord is ALIVE! Sandra was still seeing the landlord.

I don't get it.

Was the pilot episode OUT OF ORDER??

I always thought the pilot episode was the FIRST EPISODE!

yes. the pilot was out of order. Since it was the pilot i guess the people who put the dvd together put the pilot first and the conclusion on the second disc. However when they first aired 227, and when they air it in syndication they dont air the pilot first. I forgot which one starts it off on tv. But the order that most of the episodes were shot in they werent aired in that order.

they should put the PILOT episode in the right spot on the DVDs!

then no one will be confuse at all.

I guessed few shows was like that in the beginning.

the pilot will be later in the season.

When 227 first aired, I remember 'Honesty' episode being the first to air.

Usually, pilots are an experimental time for the show as they do what they can to get approval. In the pilot, Calvin appears but he walks Brenda home and walks away as if he doesn't live in 227 or even the grandson of Pearl. I guess by the time the series got the green light they decided to film other episodes and then resolve the cliffhanger of the pilot. NBC has always shuffled around 227 episodes for whatever the reason.
