Do you think it was unheard of for a person to commute from Harlem all the way to Tuckahoe, NY everyday like Florida did on Maude?

My sister lives in NY and so I can answer.... it may not be too far to commute for a well paying lawyer or stockbroker job... BUT it does seem farfetched to believe that Florida would go that far for work.... I mean, come on How much could Maude have possibly paid her to go that far?? I am sure she could have cleaned houses closer to home for the same money!

Yes I agree because Florida lived in the city and traveled to the Suburbs. In real life, people travel long distances to go to work for GOOD Money

That's at least a two hour commute. She would first have to take the 4 or 5 train down to Grand Central and then hook up with a Metro North train.

It wasn't so much unrealistic, but more like a pain in the butt.
