Yeah she played a hardass on the movie Claudine also. So I think she might have been type cast as playing the bad girl.

I don't think it was wise for a ugly girl to play bad girl roles-lol

She wouldn't happen to have been hit with a hairbrush in this ep., by any chance? :p

Well, I like 70's movies. I'm always trying to find something new from that decade to watch.

Well I'm a HUGE 70's movie buff so I loved it. And she's a total smartass in the movie, I would recommend it. But everyone like different things.Uptown Saturday night and A Piece of the Action are two great movies. A Piece of the Action I really recommend you to watch. Also Car Wash that movie is Hilarious

I just watched Cooley High a few nights ago. I looked at my public library's website and they have the Claudine DVD !! I put a hold on it!

I watched this episode yesterday. It was rough how they made her character out to be so unattractive, when that's the best I ever saw Tamu look. I liked her character in this episode.

I have to disagree with Ladybee and agree with Brieannas21. Claudine is definitely worth checking out if you haven't seen it already. It's one of my all time favorite movies. If Good Times was a dramatic movie with different characters/situations but the same premise of a low income Black family in the ghetto in the 70s, that movie would be Claudine. Great movie.

Tamu didn't come off as that unattractive in this episode because she was playing a NICER ROLE

That's what I said. She was surprisingly very appealing in this episode when you're mainly used to her from Claudine and that Good Times episode.

I would recommend it. I love watching this movie. The uncut version is best. I don't like how it's butchered on television.

Not in her second apperance of Maude. She was a lot nicer.

Yeah, but didn't she make Maude and Walter think her father was smacking her around? Plus she tried to con money out of Maude so she and that untalented geek could run off and get married right? That is still being nasty to me!

Well she was just more SNEAKY in that 2nd apperance instead of nasty-lol
