Just going over the Welcome Back, Kotter episode guide and it was kind of sad how they yanked it off the air for a couple of months in 1979 from March to May during its original network run and then just dribbled out the last few episodes into June. I suppose it's better than some shows, which never get to air some of their final episodes when cancelled mid-season, but still.

Well the ABC executives probably realized that the two main characters(Vinny, Kotter) would not be returning and that around March of 79 the show wss just falling lower and lower in the ratings and just figured let's put this show on haitus because it's not helping the Network. A Simliar situation happpened with Good Times. Only Difference is CBS left Good Times on the Shelf from Jan of 79 to June of 79. So that was 6 months-lol
