View Full Version : Season 1 DVD extras?

does anyone (Pavan?) have word on what extras Anchor Bay is going to put on season 1? I remember hearing Roseanne say she'd want to work directly in the process of the DVD's, so I'm hoping we at least get some commentaries and maybe a featurette or something. AB can do great work on DVD's when they want to, and Roseanne is most likely their biggest title with maybe Three's Company as the exception.

I think Their are Going to Be Some Real Good Extras But I Believe They Arn't Going to Announce them Until Their Done Because If You Search On AB's Website The 3rd and 4th disc are listed as the same and I have emailed the guys at TVShowsOnDVD.com about this and i haven't gotten an answer yet.

I don't think there are any, but I'm not 100% sure. As of now, it has not been announced to have any.

ugh!!!! they'll treat niche series like Sledge Hammer and The Greatest American Hero like they're Seinfeld, but a show that actually will sell to a large audience, they're treating like crap?

Their has To Be Extras Because This Show is better Than 3rd Rock and Titus (Even Though I Like Them) And They Are Getting A Ton Of Extras and This Is Just a Question, If you Go On To AB's Site Under The Roseanne Listing they Have stars Next to certain episodes? Commentaries Maybe?

well, considering the Titus and Third Rock extras were announced on AB's site only 2-3 weeks ago leads me to believe there's still hope. Considering how well Anchor Bay treats their series, I don't know any reason to believe they'd drop the ball on Roseanne. Roseanne and TC are the only AB shows that I think appeal to a wide enough audience that they know they're gonna make a great turnaround

Roseanne said she would be willing to do lots of extras stuff, so who knows. Maybe they weren't able to meet her price.

I don't understand how AB can give 3rd Rock extras and not Roseanne since they're both from the same producers and production company.

If so which site is it? I went to the above link and couldn't find it.

Yes, and Roseanne only had 22 episodes in its first season, which are all represented on the first 3 discs. I'm hoping the 4th disc is filled with extras, since the AB site seems to have reprinted the same info for disc 3 on disc 4 as well.

Their Was Actully 23 Episodes and They Only Have 1-21 on the First 3 Discs so Im Guessing They Will Do the Last 2 On The Fourth Disc And Load It With Extras...

sounds like there will be extras if disc 4 will only have two episodes and the other 3 have 7. If they weren't doing extras, they would've just been smart to do 8, 8, 7 instead of 7, 7, 7, 3.... sounds like there will be extras. I received Sledgehammer and the final discs had a much smaller number of episodes and all the extras were held over to that disc.

So only Rosey and John are doing the extras? Well, there are eight more seasons to release, so hopefully there will be more extras then.

I am sure we'll see some Laurie Metcalf extras too, but in the first season, she wasn't as integral a part of the show as she became in the middle and later seasons when she became the Ethel to Roseanne's Lucy.

what about seasons 2-9 will there be any extras on future releases, it would be great to see the entire cast given the chance to outline opinions they have about the series

I'm sure we'll probably get some for that later seasons. Remember, Roseanne isn't too fond of the earlier seasons since it was during this time she was fighting both Carsey-Werner and ABC for creative control of the show.

right, I'd expect commentaries for episodes like Stash From The Past and Wait Till Your Father Gets Home.
As much as I love Roseanne, season 1 was a stinker, I'll still get it anyways though.
