pink lights yellow lights

im trying to figure out what a friend said to me the other day...what makes the little lights turn pink and what does the yellllloooowwwww lighttttttttttttttttt mean?...now im totally confused i have tracked it down as far as taxi and am curiouser and curiouser about it...

"Yelllloooowwww lighttttttttt" is a classic Taxi scene. It's Jim's first episode as a cab driver. In the scene, Jim is taking his test to become a cab driver. Bobby (and the gang) is standing by. Jim looks over at Bobby and quietly asks "What does a yellow light mean?" Bobby whispers "Slow Down." Jim responds slower "What .... does ... a ... yellow ... light ... mean?" Bobby says "Slow Down!" Jim returns even slower, thinking Bobby is telling him to slow down, not realizing he's answering him. This goes on a little longer.

As for the pink lights thing, I don't know.
