It is cute when Jeannie says how does he (Tony get himself into these kind of messes. For instant when Jeannie makes him a great singer, and he makes her promise not to help. At the end while Tony is singing she asks Roger that question. Actually Jeannie is the one that gets him into that stuff. :) Jeannie at the Piano, when Tony is saying that he won't play the piano. Jeannie says something like But Master..... then Roger goes oh but Master. Just a thought though, when she gets stuck inside of that cabinet and blinks herself to where Tony is playing the piano. However when she is locked in the safe in the 4 part there, she says she can not blink Roger to help save Tony from her sister. If she can blink the cabinet to where Tony is, why couldn't she blink the safe to Tony's house? (that is a minor blooper there.:) unless if Jeannie didn't realize she could do that at the time. :)

My signature is my fave quote.
Why? Because it's so funny especially if you hear it for yourself the way Roger said it.

One of my favorite quotes is the one that is my signature. Another one comes from episode #111, when Tony tells Jeannie she can't go to the opening of the night club.
Jeannie: "I fixed my hair with my own two hands!!!"
Tony: "And it looks it."
She gets soooo mad at him, but he didn't mean it that way. Another comes from that episode where Jeannie is doing a crossword puzzle.
Jeannie: "A 6-letter word for rat. M-A-S, no I cannot be mad at him. I know, I will be mad at him until he gets home. M-A-S-T-E-R."
That is hilarious!!!

My favorite quote is from the episode "Anybody Here Seen Jeannie?"

Tony tells Jeannie not to get carried away after he asks her to blink away a horse (He had made a statement that he could "...eat a horse.")

Jeannie then says rather playfully with her finger waving at her Master, "You have not seen anything yet, Master." She blinks and Tony comes toward her as if he is on a moving platform. She smiles as she throws her arms around him and kisses him.

I like the way Barbara Eden delivers the line. Plus this is one of the best illustrations of Ms Eden playing Jeannie as a tomboy.

Me and Mandy (Jeannie Nelson) were talking about this on the 1020 Palm Drive Forum and we came up with quite a number of funny quotes.

On 1020 Palm Drive we have come up with a list of funny quotes and are still adding more.

I don't have Just one fav quote. But here is some of them!

Major Nelson: "Sammm, this is Sam."
Major Healey: "How can that be Sam?"
Major Nelson: "Jeannie, JEANNIE!!!"
Major Healey: "Why would Jeannie do a thing like that?"
Major Nelson: "Why does Jeannie do anything?"

Dr Bellows: "He's done it to me again" - a I dream of Jeannie classic

Mrs Bellows: "Oh, you're camping in your living room. How marvelous. Oh Alfred, why don't we do things like this?"
Dr Bellows: "Amanda, I spend my days curing people who do things like this"

Jeannie: "Master, I'm ready for the Cocoa Beach bank."
Major Nelson: "But is the Cocoa Beach Bank ready for you" - love this one, this is when after Dr Bellows has come to Major Nelson house and has seen a boat in the middle of his living room.

Dr Bellows: "Some men dedicate there lives to science, some dedicate their lives to politics, I'm dedicating mine to understanding you"

Major Nelson: "She's warm, friendly, beautiful"
Major Healey: "No, not beautiful"
Major Nelson: "Why? I think she beautiful, don't you?"
Major Healey: "Yeah maybe to you but not to Eric, beautiful to him is another computer that looks just like him"
Major Nelson and Major Healey trying to find out Jeannie's birthday

Major Healey making Major Nelson and Jeannie guess Jeannie's birthday
Major Healey: "Oh your going to love it, my grandfather was born on this day"
Major Nelson: Roger if you don't tells us now your grandfather is going to have a grandson who was killed on this day!"

Major Nelson's double: "Goodbye lonney bin"
Major Nelson's double leaving the Nelson house

Jeannie: "I love you no matter who you are"
Jeannie to Major Nelson dress up as someone else

Opps! I forgot to add these ones from the episode "Please Don't Feed The Astronauts.

Commander Porter who was just reading out of his book on how to get food
Commander Porter: "Come on Nelson, make sounds in water surface"
Major Healey: "I think I see something"
Major Healey goes for it
Commander Porter: "Did you get anything?"
Major Nelson: "Yes. My foot!"

Commander Porter thinks he is dreaming but its really something Jeannie as blinked up
Commander Porter: "Oh hi blondie (meaning Jeannie with Major Nelson and Major Healey) you here too, give me a few minutes and we will be all out of this. Let me try out this knife that man really tried to give it to me"
He chops the wood he was tied to.
Hey! You know what? This knife is real!"
Commander Porter drops to the ground

Commander Porter on the phone with Dr Bellows
Commander Porter: "Sorry Dr Bellows I couldn't hear you on the account of the giant chicken"
Commander Porter looks back to see the giant chicken again
"Giant Chic-ken"
Dr Bellows: "Giant Chicken?"

Some quotes may be a bit off. But you get the idea.

...is the one Dr. Bellows tells Major Nelson when it appears he's being transferred from the base for good in the middle of "The Greatest Invention in the World":

"It's a shame I'm not going to be around to find out what makes you tick. Next to me, you're probably the most interesting psychiatric case I've ever come across....sometimes, I think I'm losing my mind".

Another good quote is the one Dr. Bellows gives to Tony, after Harry Huggins {Paul Lynde} is made to look like a fool (by Jeannie) in front of Professor Prever when his accusations of Major Nelson having expensive art works and a safe full of cash appear to be a "mistake" [as Bellows' accusations concerning Tony are usually discredited by her] :

"I can't tell you what a pleasure it is to see you do it to someone else!"

One of my favorites:

Roger Healey to Penguin: "Go away.....MY iceberg."

Another one (especially this past summer, when BOTH of my daughters got married within 3 weeks of each other):

"I'm rehearsing my tears."

...is the one he uttered in "Jeannie and the Beauty Cream" [10/14/69], when he's describing the younger Mrs. Bellows: "She makes Raquel Welch look like Everett Dirksen!".

Now, Senator Everett Dirksen [R-Illinois] was a venerable, craggy-faced man...and if you don't know who he was and what he looked like, you won't get the topical and physical references in the line that most viewers understood in 1969 and several years after (sure, this generation recognizes Raquel Welch, but..."WHO?"). Sadly, Senator Dirksen died on September 7, 1969, over a month before the episode aired.

One great quote from Jeannie is from the episode "How do you beat Superman?"

After Tony asks her in a negative tone if she is really in love with Tony Millionaire she promptly answers "Heels over Head."

Another one is from "A secretary is not a toy" when Jeannie becomes General Peterson's secretaty. Tony demands to quit and Jeannie tells him she can not. When he asks her why she quickly replies, "because - I would lose my unemployment insurance..." This even gets a chuckle from Tony!

One great quote from Jeannie is from an early episode in season one entitled, "The Americanization of Jeannie."

In one segment of this episode Jeannie decides to get a job to become "a modern, American woman." After she uses magic to demonstrate "the miracle oven" to the customers in the store, the crowd gets angry, accusing Jeannie and the store of creating a fraud. Jeannie's boss comes over and asks her what is going on. She then replies, "I was just pitching a demo so they would fork over a commission."

Priceless!
