DH will beat Survivor again. This time by a lot. CBS can't do Sunday finales anymore with Survivor. It worked before, but not this season.

I agree with all of that. DH is building up to the finale and we'll probably see series highs next week(higher than this week certainly). Yes... I hope CBS won't do this anymore.

Of course DH will beat Survivor, but the Survivor finale starts at 8PM, so the first hour should do decently. The 9PM hour will sink with DH.

But as a huge fan of both, I'll be watching Survivor. I can always tape the DH finale but with DH coming out on DVD this fall, so...

The 1st hour will win, there's no doubt and the final hour will probably be close.

I will be recording DH and watching it right after Survivor.

DH or Survivor, IMO there's no contest, DH all the way ;)

But your not a Survivor fan... :p Survivor and Housewives ARE my two favorite shows. I can't pick between them(back in December, this was an easy choice to skip Housewives), but not now.

Why in the world did they decide to put the Survivor Finale on Sunday anyways? Are they that cocksure that they'll win the ratings race? They must have realized that since it's the second to last episode of DH for the season that DH would mop the floor with Survivor ohno:

I think it was decided before DH became such a hit... before it came along, Survivor would kill everything. I hope next season it's back to Thursdays.

I thought they'd done a Sunday episode this season and got killed then too? That's why I'm surprised they put the finale on Sunday

Yes... in December. I think execs had decided before that to have this season's finales on Sunday though. I don't know what they were thinking otherwise.

Survivor has two seasons... September-December and February-May.

People who are fans of both Survivor and Desperate Housewives have to go around this logically. Record DH and watch it after Survivor ends. The 9 o'clock hour of Survivor is the most important.

I know... the winner will be announced just as the episode is ending and the preview for the finale airs. It's going to be IMPOSSIBLE for me to avoid DH. Ugh...

I know... I said I wouldn't, but I just couldn't keep from watching(most of it).

What a great episode... a lot of unanswered questions going into the finale.

Best scene by far was Susan and Edie's confrontation at Mike's house.

GEORGE NEEDS TO DIE!!

Poor Rex and Bree. :(

I hope Mike gets Paul... I really do.

I wasnt home until about 8:30, so I recorded Survivor and watched Desperate Housewives.... I think it worked better this way. I like DH much more.

I did too... maybe it was because I pretty much knew everything that was going to happen on Survivor(I read spoilers). If they had not been against it, I would have been glued to both.

great episode.

Finally Danielle returns! Could she not hear Rex & Bree arguing though?

Where is Andrew again? We haven't seen him since he got out of that camp...I'm sure he heard Bree & Rex arguing too (or maybe he didn't care)

I sense rocky waters for Lynnette and Tom and also that Danielle will come to hate Bree too (after seeing how she reacted to Rex's heart attack) though it's really just George brainwashing poor Bree.

I loved Edie's reactions at the "intervention" it added some comic relief to a cliche scene (what was with that cheesy music that started playing too? )

great episode and i CANNOT wait for the season finale next week!

Lynette finds out about his secret next week... I don't know what it is, but I've seen pictures. Some kids who don't appear to be Tom and Lynette's come up to her and Tom at a game room type thing. I don't know if that's it, but tonight in the preview Lynette is in the same room with the same clothing saying "No you did not!", so I think we know what that is headed.

I see 4 possibilities on who is gonna die:

Carlos or John
Rex
Paul

I honestly don't know who it is... it could be any of the four. I also wonder if we won't find out next week. 4 months of waiting if we don't...

Survivor got heavily beated at 9pm. DH did a 15.6/23, Survivor did a 11.8/17. Grey's Anatomy also beat Survivor 11.9/19 to 9.7/15. The first Survivor hour was neck-and-neck with EM: HE, Survivor did a 10.8/17 and EM: HE did 10.0/16.

Geez... Survivor was off FOR IT'S FINALE.

CBS: Let this be a lesson, STOP THE SUNDAY FINALES!!!

How many millions of viewers is that for DH? I can never understand this lingo

I would guess about 23-24. It's down a little from last week(17.4/25), probably because of the tougher competition.

Rough estimates -- 25.04 total million viewers for DH, 10.8/24 in adults 18-49

Grey's Anatomy had 18.85 million viewers and 8.2/19 in adults 18-49. Survivor Reunion only managed 16.72 million viewers with a 6.9/16 in adults 18-49.

EM: HE 8PM had 16.12 million viewers and 6.2/16 in adults 18-49.

Survivor's 8-10pm is only available: 20.31 million viewers and 7.6/18 in adults 18-49.

Last week it had a 15.7/24. 17.4/25 was the metered market rating (top markets only). So, really it was down just slightly this week.

Niether Carlos nor John will die.... because Carlos is with the police now.

However, Rex and Paul seem to be the top candidates.... along with Felicia, George, and possibly even Zach.

Who I think will die might be Felicia, I hope not, but unless they changed it I read that Paul and Zach will be here next season, but I did see recently that it could be John, Carlos or Rex

I think we're all guessing too hard. It's most likely Rex.... either George or Bree will kill him.

But Carlos finds out in court next week about John... and people have escaped from jail.

I REALLY hope it's not Rex. :(

SPOILER BELOW

I heard that in Canada the preview featured Zach pointing a gun at Felicia when Edie comes up to their door(ABC preview shows her running from someone's house in a frenzy) and that Mike is driving with Paul unconscious in the back seat with tape over his mouth.

The person who dies is apparently a main character so I don't think it's Felicia. I don't think we're gonna know who it is til it happens(they are going to lead us on to several people).

I notice there's talk about people who are fans of DH and Survivor.... there's also a lot of us who watch DH and Family Guy and have to tape one or the other every Sunday at 9. Thankfully, I only have to deal with taping Family Guy for 4 weeks since season 4 premiered on May 1, so new episodes will air through the summer.

my money's on Paul. He's a despicable character (even George and Andrew can find redeeming qualities. George is just obsessed and Andrew is in defiance mode, both will get over it) and I don't think one person didn't cheer Mike on when he punched him out. Plus, he is an opening credits actor.

I don't think Rex will die, I see him hanging on. John will not die because Jesse Metcalfe's face sells too many magazine covers and brings in younger girls. Carlos, I doubt will die, even though it would be kinda fitting if he dies, and is indeed the father of the baby, and Gabby is stuck a widowed mother.

I'm really leaning towards Paul right now(he's in the opening credits too). It could be misdirection though, but it seems Paul and Mike will have a showdown and Mike will win, it's just how bad will Paul will be affected. He has said he will kill whoever did what to Deidre and obviously he figures out next week by saying "I know what you did to her".

I also don't think it's Andrew... mainly because I heard next season the plot is going to be on the darker side of him.
