I remember seeing a story once and I didnt see it on unsolved mysterys but i was wondering if they ever profiled it on UM, this girl was abducted by this man and his wife and they imprisoned her under a bed frame that the guy built he would let her out to go to the bathroom and to eat and allso when the couple wanted to perform sexual acts on her, and they had her this way for a long time the girl totally lost her will to try to escape and tell someone what these sickos were doing to her as they started taking her out into the public, infact this nervy sick couple even took her home to her family making her family think they were good friends and she still didnt say anything to her family and this is how whipped into silence they had her and brainwashed, i felt so bad for that girl well one day she got the courage to run away when they were in public and it was just a matter of time before those 2 sickos were arrested. I was wondering if anyone ever seen this story and if it was ever aired on unsolved?

I don't think so. That's the "Girl In the Box", since she wasn't missing, and she eventually turned her captors in, there's nothing really unsolved about it. Weird yes, but at least it's solved.
I had a great book on that case, the guy was a sociopath!

It sounds to me that the "girl in the box" was Colleen Stan. She was held captive from 1977 to 1984, and the guy went to prison shortly afterwards (and has been there ever since). It would have been impossible for UM to have featured this case because the show hadn't yet existed.

The story has been featured on "American Justice" on A&E, but not UM. Since Colleen was allowed to contact and even go VISIT her family during her extended captivity, it wouldn't have even qualified as a missing persons case.
