I was recently in New York City on business, and tried to find the hotel (theatre?) where The Honeymooners was filmed; unfortunately, due to lack of time, I couldn't locate it. I thought that it was the old Park Sheraton. Also, a friend told me that back in the 70's, he stayed for an extended period of time, in Gleason's old suite at the Park Sheraton?, which apparently had a plaque commemorating it as "The Great One's" quarters during the series. My question is, where was the series filmed, and where did Gleason live during that time (by series, I mean the original 39, the greatest 20.5 hours of television the world has ever seen). Any information would be greatly appreciated. I thank you in advance.

The 39 Honeymooners were filmed at the Adelphia Theater which I believe was between Broadway and 7th on 55th. The Jackie Gleason Show which ran 3 years prior to and one year after The Honeymooners were aired live from the then CBS Theater which is now the David Letterman Theater. And, yes he did live at the Park Sheraton, but in 1955 or so he moved to a Penthouse on 5th Avenue where he lived til he moved to his house circular house in Peekskill in the late 50s.
