View Full Version : Any News on the Season 1 DVD Set?

I haven't seen anything new on that. Have they set a date yet? Last I read there was going to be a release in late summer/early fall or something. Is that still in effect? :confused:

That's weird, there's no Jackie (Laurie Metcalf) on the DVD cover yet all the kids are there. Anyway, I'm so excited even though season 1 isn't one of my favourite seasons.

Isn't Roseanne's hairstyle on the cover from a later season as well?

Yes, that's either a 3rd or 4th season pic. Anchor Bay totally messed up on the cover. How could they not add Jackie? She was the main supporting character throughout the shows run and won 3 Emmys in the process.

Well you have to remember that this may not be the final cover art.

I really hope it isn't. That cover blows, especially with the pic. of Roseanne being from the 4th season, not the first.

So, Anchor Bay is releasing "Roseanne?" You're right about them messing up the cover AND excluding Jackie on there. I did not think about it. Hmmm.... come to think of it, they've been releasing Three's Company, too, and they do the same thing. The pics on the cover are sometimes different than the season. Odd... :confused:

I also hope that this is not the cover because it is horrible. I cannot Imagine the cover without Jackie or better photos of the kids.PLEASE LET US PERSUADE ANCHOR BAY TO CHANGE THE COVER. ALTHOUGH if THIS IS THE COVER I STILL WILL BUY IT because it is to good of show to pass up on. :lol:

And that's from season 2. I wonder why the put some later season pictures on it instead of all season 1 pictures. Oh well. What matters is that it's coming to DVD.

remember that Anchor Bay also put a season 4 picture on the cover of season 1 of Three's Company.

My theory to this is because Roseanne probably looked her worst in season 1, she got more and more attractive as the series went on, and probably felt a season 2 picture would work better than the frizzy season 1 look.
